We’d had a short but uneventful ride to my house, enjoying the sunshine but neither of us had felt talkative. I was still basking in the afterglow and thinking of ways to thank Madison for getting the girls to grab their stuff and use one of the other locker rooms so Ashley and I could be alone.

Ashley kept a light hand on my thigh as I drove and we listened to the radio, today had introduced a new dynamic between us and I’d enjoyed it a hell’a lot, in case you hadn’t noticed? Our eyes kept meeting in the rear view mirror and every time they did Ashley would just smirk and squeeze my leg before looking away, pretending something else caught her attention.

When we reached my house I locked my car and opened the door, giving Ashley a brief tour of the ground floor before grabbing some drinks and heading upstairs.

‘So this is your room then?’ Ashley asked the redundant question as she gazed around my room. We’d be home alone tonight, Glen was staying out somewhere and my mom had a medical conference in Vegas, my dad had gone along as they had decided to turn it into a mini break.

All it meant to me was that I had the house to myself and my girlfriend in my bedroom for the first time. So yeah, it was a pretty big deal.

I settled on my couch and watched as Ashley slowly wandered around the room, taking it all in. She had not wanted to visit when my parents had been around.

‘Nice room Spence,’ she complimented me as she trailed her finger tips over random surfaces as she slowly walked towards me.

‘I like it,’ I shrugged and relaxed back against the couch. To be honest I was anything but relaxed, it was all for show, I was on edge, Ashley wasn’t so much wandering any more, it felt more like I was being stalked by a large predator, a big cat. Yeah, the dynamic had really changed.
