Chapter 7

When i woke up Ashley and Bri were already up and laughing. Im not sure what they were laughing about but Bri was laughing hard and loud. Ashley was trying to get her to be quite saying she didnt want to wake me up. I set up from the couch and cleared my throat. When i did this Bri stopped laughing and Ashley had a worried look on her face. I got up off the couch and walked over to her. I took her hands in mine and asked

"Are you okay Ash?"

"Yeah……. I just dont want you to ask me to leave."

"Oh no you can stay as long as you like, Bri likes having you here."

"Okay……Oh and thanks for letting me finally be apart of her life."

"No problem i should have from the start but now you are and its for the best."

After i said this i turned towards Bri

"Hey sweetie how you feeling?"

"I feel okay mommy"

‘Okay well mommy is going to go get something to eat. You want anything?"

"No thank you mommy, momma already got me something"

I just turned and looked at Ashley

"I hope you dont mind but she said she was hungry"

"No thats fine Thank you"

"Welcome"

"Okay then im going to go get something to eat and then find out when we can out of here. YAY!!!!!"

With that i walked out of the room and headed down to the cafe. They dont have very good food but for now it will do. After i ate i headed back to Bri’s room. On my way i stopped by the nurse’s desk to see if they could tell me she was going to be able to leave. They told me that they were not sure but that the doctor should be in any minute and to ask him. So after that i walked into Bri’s room to find a sleeping Ashley and Bri watching cartoons.

"Hey Bri"

"Hey mommy do you know when we are going to be able to go home yet?"

"No but the doctor should tell us here in a minute when he gers here"

Ans as soon as i said that Doctor Shepard walked in.

"Hello ladies"

"Hello doctor how are you?"

"Im good Mrs. Davies, just here to check and see how Bri is doing"

When he finished his sentence i heard Ashley begin to wakt up. I walked over to her to wake her up fully.

"Hey Ash you need to get up the doctor is here"

When she heard that she up from the chair and walked over to the doctor

"Hi im Ahsley Davies, Bri’s other mother how are you?"

"Oh Mrs. Davies nice to meet you."

"You too, so do you know we can take Bri home?"

Leave it to Ashley to go right to the point but that is what i loved about her.

"Yes she should be able to leave in the next couple of hours, but i want to her here early the thursday of her radiation appointment"

"Yes sir we will be here early. Thank you!!!"

With that the doctor left and Ashley turned to me. I guess she miss took my look for anger cause she was next to me applogizing

"Im sorry Spence"

"Fpr what? You have nothing to be sorry for you where being a great mother"

When i said this a big smile creaped up onto her face.

"Thank you"

"For?"

"Calling me a great mother"

"Oh, i was just telling the truth"

"Okay so Bri honey lets get you ready to leave, Ahshley can you grab her bag over there and grab her some cloths to were home?"

"Yeah coming right up"

So after we got Bri ready to leave the nurse came in with some paper work for me to fell out. After the paper work was done i told Ashley that could follow us to our place and stay there for a while and help out with Bri. She glady accepted as i thought she would.I was so happy to finaly take Bri home even though we had only been in the hospital for a couple of days i do not like it cause we have been ther so much in the past but atleast i have my family home now.
