Forever Yours – (Chapter: Chapter 4: Glen's Hunch)

“Hey Chelsea!” What’s up?” Glen said cheerfully as he strolled into the studio.

Chelsea smiled as a pair of arms wrapped themselves around her waist. “Not much, Glen. Just painting,” she said quietly.

Glen laughed and wiped yellow paint from her forehead. “I can see that.”

Chelsea dropped the green –stained paint brush and placed a tender kiss to Glen’s lips. “You ready for Paris?” Glen asked.

Chelsea laughed and replied, “Is Paris ready for me is the real question!”

“We’ll have to see, won’t we?” Glen laughed, tapping Chelsea’s nose playfully. Chelsea almost toppled off of her stool when there was a loud crash. “What the fuck!?” a British man yelled.

“Ugh,” Glen groaned as he swung open the door.

“Sorry,” red faced Caleb said, his voice quivering with embarrassment, “Didn’t see the canvases.”

“Are you stalking me?” Glen asked, no hint of humor in his voice.

“Em, no.” The British man ran his fingers through his silky blonde hair and shook his head. “I’m sorry if it seemed that way. I’m just trying to….”

“You don’t need to explain to me, Brit. Just go somewhere else," Glen replied harshly.

“Who is it, Glen?” Chelsea asked.

“The new kid. Y’know, the Brit.” Glen’s piercing gaze never left the other boy.

"The Brit has a name, you know. It’s Caleb. Caleb Greene," he retorted with a little less dignity than before. He tried to push past Glen but was stopped by a steady hand.

"You can’t just waltz in here you know," Glen growled.

Caleb backed away. "Okay," he said with a nod, "I see that it isn’t a good time. See you at school." Caleb turned and walked down the hall, steering clear of the canvases.

“Oh, Glen?” Aiden laughed, “Yeah.  He can be pretty hostile at times but that’s only because he’s protective of Chelsea.  But once you get to know him, Glen’s a cool guy.”

“He seemed pretty defensive last night.  He’s a Carlin right?”

Aiden nodded in response to Caleb’s question.  He pointed to Spencer and explained how she was dating Ashley.  Ashley was Kyla’s sister and that he was dating Kyla.

“Is there any chance of Spencer and Ashley breaking up?” Caleb asked after Aiden was done.  His gaze never left the brunette holding Spencer’s hand.  His eyes were full of lust and passion for the Latina, though he had been told that she was gay.  In his heart, he felt so attached to her in an indescribable way.

Aiden snorted with amusement.  “Uh, is there a chance that hell will freeze over? Heh.  Ashley is so in love and Spencer refuses to leave her side.  There absolutely no chance.”

Caleb was silent and Aiden wondered what was going on in the British boy’s head.  “By the way, why the fuck do you care so much? I mean, Ash won’t even consider giving you a chance.”

Caleb shrugged.  “Love, I guess,” he replied ever so casually.  Aiden’s jaw hit the pavement at Caleb’s feelings for a girl he barely knew.
