Three weeks have passed since that night at *****. Everyone has noticed Marinas foul mood and they try to steer clear of her when she is at her worst. Today is a better day. Marina is standing behind the counter of the Planet and smiling as best she can at her customers as she helps wait on them.

I cant believe shes acting like this what a waste. Jenny said as she sat her cup down on the table.

What? Are you upset shes showing more emotion about someone she barely knew than she did when you broke it off? Shane asked annoyed at Jennys statements today.

Whoa who pissed in your Wheaties this morning? Alice asked surprised at Shanes reaction.

Nobody Im just tired of Jenny here taking every chance she can to slam Marina or Cecilia. I actually liked the woman and NO not just because she was hot. Shane looked at Jenny as she stood up from her chair. You broke up two years ago! If you dont want to see what goes on in Marinas life, maybe you shouldnt hang out here so much. Shane walked away and went up to the counter to refill her espresso. Alice and Dana looked at Jenny and watched as her face took on a look of disbelief.

I dont slam them! she said defensively.

Hate to break it to ya but you do, Alice said looking at Dana for support.

Yeah Jen every time you see Marina, you make some kind of comment, Dana added.

I do not!

Whatever, Alice said and returned to the magazine that they had been looking at. They all looked up as the door opened and the mailman entered. Seeing that it was no one of consequence, they went back to their conversation before Jennys comments. Shane returned to the table and glanced at the pictures in the magazine.

I like that one. Shane pointed at a picture of a woman with choppy hair that was shaved on the side.

Oh no Im not shaving anything above the waste! I said a new cut not a demolition doo! Dana said all the while shaking her head. All of their heads turned in the direction of the counter when they heard a cup hit the floor. Marina stood there with an envelope in her hand and a shocked look on her face, not even noticing the cup she had knocked to the ground.
