And youre right, we were having problems before the affair. I just didnt want to think of it as what caused you to have that affair. We shouldnt have stopped communicating. I shouldnt have pushed you away when I know you were trying to talk to me, when you wanted to make love to me. Im sorry. Tina said, tears freely falling from her eyes.

    Im sorry for not giving you all your emotional needs. Im sorry for letting you carry the burden all by yourself when I should help you carry it. Im sorry that I gave you less of myself to you. Im sorry for not giving you a chance and most of all, Im sorry that I let you sign those divorce papers when I didnt sign them. Tina finally let the truth out. Tina waited for Bette to react but when she did not get any, she decided to leave.

    Minutes later, Bette finally stood up and opened the door and saw Tina on her way out.

    Tina wait Bette called on to her.

    Bette? Tina responded.

    What do you mean you didnt sign them? Bette asked.

    Bette, I couldnt bring myself to sign it when you returned those papers to me. Im sorry I hid it from you for a long time Tina said, looking down.

    You mean were still married? Bette moved closer to Tina, lifting her chin up.

    Yes, Bette. We still are. Tina responded, putting her hand over Bettes.

    I dont understand. You didnt want to talk to me about it. You didnt want to reconcile.

    It was my pride talking Bette. I was lost as you are now when I found out about the affair. I didnt want to ask for directions so I headed towards divorce being the only sound solution. I didnt think that the love we had for 7 years is the way. I thought of throwing our 7 years together thinking that it was just lies when in those 7 years we were together, we had so much love around us. Failing to think that love is the truth. Tina responded, wiping away Bettes tears.
