The Past Is Gone. part 12
I woke up in an ambulance, there’s people all around me, I have blood on my clothes, what the ***** happened? I try to stand up by an impulse, but they keep me down, and they start asking all these questions “Sydney can you hear me?” “Stay with me Sydney” “Do you know what happened to you?” “Where does it hurt?” “Do you want us to call some one?” ok yes I can hear you, I’m not ***** deaf, and where the ***** can I go if you don’t even let me stand up, No I have no idea what happened to me maybe you could tell me? And it would be better to ask where doesn’t it hurt? And the very last answer is: – Shane please call Shane, but don’t scare her, tell her I’m ok- Seems like the only response I could actually answer out loud was the important one, huh? So they got Shane’s number from my bloody cel, but I couldn’t stay up, I just fainted again. I’m not exactly sure how long I’ve been here, but it’s a new day and the doctor just left my room, he came in and explained that I was ran over by a drunk driver, that I’m relatively fine, but I do have a major contusion on my spine which would explain why I can’t feel my legs, he said that there is a 50 – 50 chance of full recovery, but we’ll have to wait a little while before starting physical therapy, he also said that I have to stay here for a few days for observation, so that they can check if I have any internal injuries, they’re gonna run some tests. So now I’m screwed, what if I can never walk again? Well there’s a scary thought and yet I am still alive, I have people who will help get over this, talk about walking in heaven, well why walk when I could ride a wheel chair, right? I mean, I am scared, and I really wouldn’t like to stay like this forever, but then again I’ve been through some very difficult situations and let me just say this is not that bad for me, I could deal with it So I’m here thinking about the possible jobs I could do if I never can dance again, I’m thinking about how very lucky I am, and I just remembered the last thing I thought about before the accident “I would rather die before letting it be real” ***** I didn’t meant it literally wait I hear someone coming this way, someone’s knocking on my door.
