`She will be Loved`
“Ladies, I want you all to go home and get a good night’s sleep. We’re going to start practice here tomorrow at 1400 hours. Be prepared to run, play, and exercise. The training begins for one incredible year. Hopefully we can make it the city’s this year and if we do well then maybe we can qualify for the state’s championships”, Bette preached.
“Okay alright. Lets go BULLDOGS”, The team all cheered at once.
“Alright, now I’m going to announce the captains of the basketball team. Here they go. Tina Kennard and Alice Piezecki”, Bette clapped her hands together. Both girls stepped forward. The team cheered louder as they appeared through the crowd. They stood next to Bette. “Alice, Tina, why don’t you both give a small speech. No more than two mintues. “Go”.
“Alright. Well, my name is Alice”.
“Hey Alice”, The team replied all at once.
“Hey..”, Alice waved. “I am your second captain and I’ve been on the team for three years now. Some of you may know me and you can say that I’m funny and I bring a happy and cheerful spirit to the team. I never critize. I’m always understanding and I’m willing to work with any of you if you need help in a specific area. And I’m also good at Academics. Math is my favorite subject”, Alice said.
The team clapped again and some whistled and others even called out her name. Alice took a step back and Tina stepped forward. Bette smiled and watched her carefully. She was one of her favorite ball players. She was the best accoding to the league and what they wrote about her in the newspapers.
“Hi, I’m Tina Kennard”, Tina said.
“Hey Tina”, The team replied all at once.
“Hello”, Tina waved. “I am the first captain on the team. I’m a senior and I’m hoping to pursue medicine someday, well if my career in basketball doesn’t work out. I am a hardworing athelete who takes the games very seriously, though I love to have fun. I just try not to mix business with pleasure. Like Alice, I’ve been playing on the team for a while; however I’ve been playing for four years. I’ve worked with Coach Porter since the beginning. She’s a good coach. And um she’s amazing. I’m proud to say that she’s changed me to want to do better and to show other people I can do anything that I put my mind to. She’s my inspiration”. Tina smiled and gazed over at Bette. She tried her hardest not to blush.

Do the right thing, Kaydance! People like Casey make me glad that I know martial arts. She just needs an old fashion beat down. And I suppose the conversation between Bette and Tina is going to be one filled with tears and anger. Damn you, Casey! PLEASE post soon, FA!
The college doesnt want to get rid of Bette She is a good teacher and does so much extra work for the school. Tina can switch school. Them beat the crap out of Casey.That girl is sick. If the gang doesnt get to her first. College is not for Kids you have mature adult going there. Thanks
Shit! I agree with seashurst, why isn’t bette mentioning the harassment of one miss Casey, who needs a serious beat down. Not just for this but for all the other times. People like this make me sick, can’t they find a life. Okay,I’m cool, just post soon. Maybe if Shane gets to kaydance they can pull one over on casey.

There has got to be away around this for Bette. How much time is left in the semster and isn’t Tina a senior? Maybe if Bette and Tina could sit down a talk this out then maybe they can salvage their relationship. I would love to see Casey get her ass into some really bad trouble with the Dean. Maybe then things would settle down for the girls.

I don’t know what you are going to do, but please don’t let Casey live or Tina switch schools. I love this story as well as so many others please don’t leave us hanging here too long
I know people are going to call this a no-brainer, but I could totally see myself in Bette’s shoes as I was an education type person at one time. Obviously I want Bette and Tina together, but if Bette can’t get a job then it will put strain on her relationship with Tina. I can understand why that kind of rule is in effect, but at the same time if you can’t be impartial and keep your hormones in check in the classroom, then you have no business being there. Ugh I went all ranty. Let’s just kill Casey and get it over with.

This problem happens all the time. Teacher student relationships in higher education are not as uncommon as one would think, neither are teacher student friendships. I myself have had friendships outside of the classroom with profs and I can honestly say that the friendship outside of the classroom never effected the teacher student relationship.I’m not sure how you will clear this up. It certainly is messy.

Somehow it is hard for me to believe that Bette would not have explained to the Dean that the person who sent him that information is harassing her, and has threatened her. Why would she not turn the tables on this bitch and fight for herself? This is afterall Bette Porter!!! LOL Obviously you have me hooked! Thanks!
