Tina sat on the bed holding Angelica tight to her body. She is torn between anger and relief. Anger at Bette for taking the babyrelieved to have her back. Henry was escorting Bette out of the room.

            “Get out Bette or I will call security and have your ass thrown in jail for kidnapping.”

            “Tina, please, just listen to me. Don’t take her from me. I made a mistake, but I would never do anything to harm our child. You know that. I am not trying to interfere in you and Henry’s life. I accept the fact that we are through. Just don’t take Angelica from me too.”

            “GET OUT PORTER!” Henry shouted as he grabbed Bette’s arm and was leading her to the door.

            “Let go of me Henry. NOW!” Bette shouted. Tina just sat on the bed holding a now crying Angelica. Helena was walking to her room when she heard the commotion down the hall.

            “Bloody hell, what is going on here?” Helena asked.

            “Great the reunion of my girlfriend’s lovers. Just take this dyke and get her out of our room, please.” Henry said.

            “Excuse me?” Helena asked. “If you are half the man you claim to be then get the hell out of here and let these two women talk.”

            “Fuck you. Does it look like Tina wants to talk?”

            “She is a little disheveled, but I am sure given a few minutes she might realize that she should speak to her partner of 8 years.” Helena said loud enough for Tina to hear.

            “Is it not enough that her ‘partner’ of 8 years took her child without permission, now she has to hear this shit?”

            “Henry, you fucking piece of shit I will leave when I am damn ready. I am going to speak to my wife first. Then I will go and hold my daughter, so back off you fucking asshole.”

            “Very well said Bette.” Helena said.

            “Thank you Helena.”

Bette brushed past Henry and barged into the bedroom.

            “Tina, we need to talk. We need to talk now. Give me that. Give me time to let go. Let’s figure out what to do with our baby. She deserves us both. I should never have called the lawyer. You should understand the desperation though. We are through. I get that. You can move on in your little hetero world, but we need to discuss our baby.”

            “Bette, what is there to discuss? You were going to take her from me.”

            “I would not do that to you Tina, but you were going to do that to me. It is not right, we are a family. I am her Momma B. Let me be part of her life. That is all I am asking. Let me adopt her.”

            “Bette, just go for now. We will talk later. I am tired, she is tired. Let’s just go back to LA and deal with it there.”
            “Okay, Tina. Please let’s talk soon. You know we need to tie this up. She is my daughter too.”

            “Good bye Bette.”
            “Bye Tina, good bye my little angel. Momma B loves you so much. I will see you soon, princess.” Bette leaned over to kiss the top of Angelica’s head. Tina could see the tears in Bette’s eyes. It was all she could do not to let Bette stay. Bette headed out the door. “I love you, too, T. Always.” Bette whispered as she turned the door knob.
