    Seated in Mario’s the two Porter sisters enjoyed a terrific dinner, and pleasant conversation.

    "Damn girl. That car is hot! That was the smoothest ride I have ever had."

    "Yeah, it is nice isn’t it? I think I will enjoy it, a lot."

    "So you should Bette, so you should. So how are you doing with all the other changes you’re making? Still going strong?"

    Bette looks at Kit a moment before answering.

    "Kit, I am only going to say this once, and then I don’t want to ever discuss this again okay?"

    "Sure Baby sis, anything you say."

    "Actually what I want is to ask you a favor of sorts."

    "Okay, shoot."

    "Kit, I want you to make sure that Angelica and Tina are both alright once in awhile okay? Just because we aren’t a family any longer, doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on your friendship with Tina, and a relationship with her daughter. I just ask that you don’t tell me about it, and please don’t share my life with them. Though I doubt Tina will have time to ask , what with planning her family with Henry and all."

    "Bette, I will gladly do that. I wasn’t sure how you would feel about me seeing them, but I am glad that you have asked this. And as you made very sure that neither of them would be needing money, which was very generous by the way, I figured that would help pave the way for me to continue being in their lives. At least she can’t say you aren’t fair, right?"

    "Oh, I am sure she has plenty to say about me right now Kit, and none of it is probably very nice.

    But enough about that. I have given the realtor your number in case anymore offers come in on the house. You can just call me in New York over the next few weeks if anything comes up okay?"

    " Three weeks in New York. All the shows, shopping, music. Girl, I want to go too!"

    "Well it won’t be all a holiday you know. I am going to visit a few galleries about potential jobs and referrals."

    "Yeah, yeah. That is a holiday for you."

    1. Yes, she can fix it. It is going to be hard and painful, but it can be fixed. Please let it be fixed. Great chapter and thank for having Helena tell Tina that she not the only one hurting or was hurt by the affair. Bette is miserable too.

    2. I guess its Tina’s turn to be fitted for a hair shirt. Pity Tina’s soul is about 12 years old and she twists and turns unable to confront the hard stuff until she realizes what she realy wants. Its easier to retreat into woundedness and offering punishment. Helena may be right.

    3. I agree with 99% it CAN be fixed…but not overnight. Tina can’t just walk up to Bette and say I want you back. Just like Bette had to grovel and prove herself (and yes wear the hair shirt) Tina needs to do the same. Bette is running around doing all this stuff and she still dosen’t know Tina is not with Henry (not that it would make a difference now) but at least she would know that Henry won’t be a father to her child.

WOW… i just read all 4 chapter… and as much as my heart is breaking… you hit the nail right on the head… what does tina expect bette to do… just sit and wait… hoping she gets over her “PROBLEM”… now tina has to feel the pain and she will… i do like your helena… she told tina the way it is… but it can be fixed… tina has a long way to go… but hopefully she finds that way… love your story… please continue

    7. This is good and excited. Hope Helena will help Tina to see what she did to Bette is so bad and painful and she will find some way to make it right. I agree with 99% and please let them work thing out. OK post soon please, thanks!

    10. I agree with ninety9percentsure and skycaptain that it can be fixed but she has to face the music and Bette. I am not sure about waiting to long or Bette will be somewhere else. Maybe talking to Kit and getting her imput about what to do.

    13. Luckily Helena has a brain, she always seems to wake Tina up to reality…and yes, it can be fixed if T’s willing to be honest with herself and Bette just like she demanded from Bette…so go to it!!!

    14. Readers, I present to you the Voice of Reason, Ms. Helena Peabody. I’m not expecting Deus ex Machina and then the cast getting together at the end to sing of love conquering evil. So far you still have me on board for more!
