    The Anniversary.

    Previously in Ch 4 Now that I have her.

    Smirking, Bette slides her hand up Tina’s exposed thigh, grazing the neat hairs with her fingertips. "Have I told you lately how fucking hot that it is you don’t wear anything under your skirts?"

    "Hmm, avoiding my question I see."

    "Not avoiding, thoughtfully refusing to answer on the grounds that I will reveal myself to be a person of questionable motives and values." Bette answered coyly.

    "Can I tell you something?" Tina asks Bette.

    "Sure Babe."

    "I know how questionable you are babe." She smiles. "But just to let you know. I would give you this, (pointing to herself) with out any gifts, Its just nice that you have such a kind heart and good taste to recognize how much I deserve the things you buy me."

    Bette smiled back at Tina. "Good to know." She said as they pulled into a parking stall at the apartment.

    Both had similar thoughts as they rode the elevator up to Bette’s apartment. I wish we were going home together to our house. With disappointment still rooted in both of their hearts they turned to each other once they closed the door to the apartment, and tried to find solace in each others arms.

     

     

     

     

    Now that I have her CH5

    Bette had been awake for over an hour just holding Tina in her arms as she slept. She lightly kissed her neck and shoulders before returning to her thoughts.

    How did I get so lucky? Two years ago today Tina walked into my life. Making it better, making me better. What can I do, what can I say that will show her my feelings?

    "You think too much." came a sleepy whisper from the woman of her heart.

    "Good morning baby. Happy anniversary." Bette said as she tightened her hold around her partner and kissed her neck as she held her.

    "Happy Anniversary babe." Hmm, it feels so good when you hold me like this. I feel so safe."

    "I’ll always hold you like this. And you will always be safe. All I want to do is make you happy T."

    "That you do babe. So what were you thinking so hard about so early this morning?"

    2. CDN that was an awesome post! The incorporation of the Elizabeth Barrett Browning poem with double the emotional impact on Bette – that would be overwhelming. Thanks CDN for a beautiful story…beautifully written.

    7. great chapter, i knew alice and dana have something to do with the house, but the whole thing was wonderful and sweet..i love E. B. Browning, but isn’t this Roy Croft poem or am i mistaken?

    8. Okay, big goof on the Author. Thanks to B&T Forever for clueing me in. Its funny, I have a printed sheet of Scrapbook paper sitting right in front of me, that I found at a scrapbook shop(don’t ask, It’s my partners thing not mine, I go just to hold the stuff she wants) anyway, it has Elizabeth Barret Browning as the author of that. Serves me right for believing a bunch of craft grannies :)

    10. I am a sucker for Bette and Tina stories. The happy ones send me into the happy dance mode. The peom was beautiful and I loved the non answering machine.

    11. That was just so awesome to read and thank goodness for friends like Alice and Dana. And the kiss between Dana and Tina and Bette and Dana was priceless. I love how much Bette and Tina love each other in this story.

The fake answering machine, the gifts, them getting the house and of course their love one another :o)) I truly hope you will continue with this story, it was a VERY nice surprise to see a post so soon……..and they still have anniversary night right??? LOL.

    16. That was fantastic. The fake answering machine, Dana and Alice surprising them, the ring, the poem (awesome), how sweet, and you just know it will be continued once they get home.
