    I Wish CH 10

     

    After a week of signing papers, getting inspections done and packing in her spare time, Bette took a few well deserved moments and sat on the sofa to reflect.

     

    She was going to miss this house. Even though the skeletons rattled loudly, it was a tune she could see herself missing. There were so many memories here. Good and bad. And if she were totally honest with herself, she knew there were more good than bad.

     

    All of the parties they had given. The family nights with the girls. The intimate nights with just her and Tina. She missed those most of all. And she wished she didn’t. She was going to miss walking into a room and being able to see Tina in her minds eye sitting somewhere or standing at a window, or giving her that look. She was going to miss it terribly, and then again she wasn’t. The memories hurt. The longing she felt. It hurt, deeply.

     

    She missed her. She missed Tina, and she missed Angelica.

     

    "How did we get so far off course?" she mumbled to herself.

     

     

    Tina sat in her lawyers office. She looked at the check he passed to her.

     

    "It’s your half of the sale of the house."

     

    "But I bought the house."

     

    "So it’s your money then. It will be a good start to paying down the mortgage."

    "It’s weird, but I guess it’s okay. Is there anything else?"

     

    "Yes actually. We received the adoption papers back from Bette."

     

    "Oh, so.."

     

    "She signed them. Angelica now has joint custody of you and Bette." He smiled at Tina knowing how much she had wanted this.

     

    Tina smiled as relief washed through her.

     

    "That’s good. That’s real good. I know Angelica misses her terribly." And so do I she thought to herself.

     

    "So do you want me to draw up the visitation schedule and support payment plan now?"

     

    "Um, no. I don’t think so. I don’t want money from her. And she can see Angelica anytime she wants. I hope that things can be worked out without schedules and plans and legal stipulations."

     

    "Okay. But if you change your mind, or if the situation can’t be worked out amicably, please call and we will get it done this way okay?"

    2. Keep it coming, I’m enjoying this one. I don’t feel sorry for Tina and Alice didn’t need to apologize, she told the truth and Tina needed to hear it.

    10. Great chapter cdn! Glad Bette signed the papers…how could she not, when her own mother left her behind like she did. Thank goodness Angelica will be raised with the blessing of knowing Bette and how much Bette loves her! Too cool that Tina is buying their house…there are a lot of really good memories there for B & T, and I think Angelica will love being there again. Hopefully it will be a building block to getting their family all under the same roof again. Lovin’ it! Did you lose that lovin’ feeling cdn? Well I’m giving it back to you so you can write B&T back into each other’s hearts! Can you feel it? I love this story! Can’t wait for more!

    11. As long as Tina has breath and the will to fight to get Bette back there is a hope. Does Alice or Shane know that Tina is willing to fight to get Bette back? Also who will figure out first that it is Tina who bought the house?

    15. I agree with the comments of both Seahurst and lwordrock1. It is sooooo cute to say that Ahgelica has joint custody of B&T, and I think that Bette will be initially shocked, but love the idea that Tina bought their home. In fact, it may be one of the tiny pieces that help bring them back together :o)
