Planet Terror: Little Shop of Horrors

    Baaarbara!

They’re coming to get you Barbara!

    They’re coming for you Barbara

They’re coming for you, look, here comes one now!

The woman named Barbara screamed as her brother fell victim to a zombie.

“Hey, pass the popcorn.” Alice whispered across the couch at Dylan who sat entranced.

She handed the popcorn down and whispered back, “Look! You can just run by those ones!”

“Yeah, I know!” Alice’s whisper was fast sounding like loud talking. She was quiet and then burst out loudly, “What the faaaack were they doing in a graveyard anyway?”

“Shhhh!” Helena hushed them gently. “I want to see what happens…that Barbara is fuuucked.”

“Oh yeah, she goes ape-shit crazy by the end.” Alice spoke with her mouth full.

“Alice!” Helena let out an exasperated huff, throwing popcorn at her friend. “I didn’t want to know what happens!”

Alice laughed, “I’m sorry, Helena, it’s just kinda weird that you’ve never seen this movie…”

Dylan interrupted by moaning like a zombie and draping her arms over Helena’s shoulders. “muaaarrrrggggggg?” She enquired.

“Muaaarrrrrggggg up your ass.” Helena replied, batting her arms away. Dylan winked at her, while Alice rolled her eyes.

“Dylan, dude, Bette’s gonna kick your ass…” Alice said, poking Dylan in the arm.

“Oh Alice, Bette isn’t that possessive.” Helena replied.

“Not from what I hear she ain’t.” Dylan earned another poke, this time from Helena, for that remark.

Just then, Bette’s voice mumbled and groaned from the room next to them where she slept next to Caoihme. The three women glanced over.

“Has she been having many nightmares…?” Dylan asked. Helena shrugged,

“Not lately. But something about Poka’s death really triggered her. Last night she dreamt that Tina came back from the dead and tried to get her to fix her brain—to sew it back into her head using strands of Bette’s hair.”

    “Bette’s hair?” Alice looked incredulous.

Helena smirked and shook her head. “Apparantly Tina really had a thing for Bette’s hair.”

In the next room, Bette slept soundly with her daughter.

“Who’s baby is that?” A familiar southern drawl jerked Bette awake.

    1. I just managed to get caught up with this. By all rights, it shouldn’t be half as captivating as it is, since it’s pretty strange…but I fucking LOVE it. I guess that speaks more for my own morbidity than it does anything else, but I’m really enjoying this. I may not make a hell of a lot of sense, but it’s still well done. I’m glad you’re still continuing it.

    2. I thought Al was done for… And although that was quite tastefully done, that’s about all the Tina I want to see in this story. Ace chapter… Now I’ll have to skive some more and read Life Happens. Thanks

    3. Ew, gouging out of eyes, I agree, I thought Al was done for, you’re mischievous when it comes to Tina, but you know that! I’m glad Al’s ok … stop scaring us like that, ok, don’t stop, cos then it wouldn’t be PT, but you know what I mean … grr .. hehe

    4. Un menage a trois? Mon Dieu! Took you long enough, I was considering sending another scolding your way. Death as an existance on an alternate plane? Philosophy on top of schlock horror? Get you, helebette. OK, so what’s the deal with Tina? Is she really from another plane or just the product of dream stuff? Is there a difference between the two? And what’s with the zombies getting stronger and smarter with time?

    5. Quelle nail-biter. I really hope Alice doesn’t end up zombified or dead. Zombification is a natural fit for Jenny, but Alice functions best as a human being. Not to mention that taking her out of the picture would deprive the survivors of some much-needed comic relief. LOVE the shopping-mall setting, with its Dawn of the Dead overtones (original version I hope).
