    Author Notes:

    A Bette and Tina end to what can be a new beginning. My theme: to keep Bette and Tina alive.

    Bette’s in bed resting her leg when Tina enters the room with a tray filled with soup, tea, an apple, and cough syrup. Bette’s to be off her leg for two weeks and with the assistance of Tina, she’s told to get plenty of rest and as little stress as possible. Angelica is in the living room playing in her play pen.

     

    Bette: (ringing a bell) “Tina…Tina, I need you!”

     

    Tina (turns the corner balancing a tray) “Calm down, I’m here.” (She walks over to her side and waits for Bette to sit up so she can rest the tray across her lap) “What’s wrong?”

     

    Bette: (strained grunt) “Can you adjust my pillows for me? They’re a bit…”

     

    Tina: (leans over and adjust Bette’s pillows, causing Bette to sniff the scent of her perfume. The fumes caused her to whimper in silence. She wished times were different, when they used the date. Ever since she found of Tina was into women again, she’s been afraid to ask her out being that her temporary handicap was part of the problem) “There. (Exhausted) “How does that feel?”

     

    Bette: (lying back against the pillows) “Good, thanks.” (She smiles at Tina before gazing down to view what the blond prepared for her. “The food smells great.”

     

    Tina: (smiles at Bette) “Thanks. (She hears Angie crying from a distance) “Can you hold on? I’ll be right back in a flash. (She asked, holding up her index finger, before disappearing out the room in time for Bette to give her a response. The brunette gazes back to her meal and starts sipping from the spoon Tina gave her.

     

    Bette: (gasps) “Oooh, hot, hot.”

     

    Tina: (enters the room holding Angelica) “Bette…”

     

    Bette: (drops some soup on her shirt) “Shit!”

     

    Tina: (looks up) “Darn.” (She sits Angie down on the bed with Bette. The baby smiles at Bette and crawls toward her to see what the reason for her yelling is. “No, Angie, no!” (Tina says to the baby)

    Bette: (wipes her blouse with a napkin) “its ok, Tina. Angelica is fine where she is.”

     

    Tina: (worried about Bette’s leg) “Are you sure? If you want I can….”

     

    Bette: (cuts Tina off) “She’s fine, T. I can handle it. It’s not like she weighs a hundred pounds or anything.” (She tosses the napkin in the trash and slides her tray to the side and plays with Angie.

    9. That was funny and very cute. Too bad it is a only one of chapters because this would be interesting to watch unfold. Like where is jodi and how did Bette get in this predicament in the first place? What is wrong with her leg? See way too many questions to leave unanswered.
