Forever Friends Ch. 21
Previously –
“Yeah? It’s okay. Time to get up.” Dana got out of bed and walked into the bathroom and shut the door without saying another word.
Alice put her hand on her forehead. “Shit!”
Chapter 21 –
Dana and Alice dressed and had breakfast in silence and the silence continued on the ride to the hospital, both lost in thought about what happened earlier. Dana was actually looking forward to her physical therapy appointment. She thought Dr. Kelly was crazy the first time he recommended physical therapy before a chemo treatment. Reluctantly Dana followed his recommendation and was surprised that she generally felt better after chemo treatments when she did physical therapy first. Her body would feel less sluggish and her moods were better too.
Alice dropped Dana off at the entrance to the hospital and parked the car. She grabbed her bag and Dana’s from the backseat and followed Dana inside. Josh greeted them immediately when they walked into the physical therapy room.
“Good morning ladies!” Josh smiled at both of them.
“Hey.” Alice said as she walked towards a chair to sit the bags down. Dana just nodded her head at Josh as he approached her.
“I see someone’s in a good mood this morning.” Josh said sarcastically as he put his arm around Dana and assisted her to a padded table for her to lie down on. Dana lay on the table and Josh began stretching her legs.
Alice had walked into the bathroom after sitting down and returned wearing sweats and a tank top. “Josh is it okay if I use one of the treadmills?”
“Yeah sure. Feel free to use any of the equipment.”
“Thanks.” Alice walked back to the chair her bag was in and pulled out her ipod then continued to the treadmill.
Dana had lifted her head at Alice’s question to Josh wish a shocked look on her face. Did she really hear what she thought she did? Alice hated to exercise. Dana was pulled out of her thoughts grunting as Josh stretched her leg slightly further than normal. Dana laid her head back down on the table.
“Okay grumpy, what’s wrong?” Josh asked as he switched legs and began to stretch Dana’s right leg.

Aww, they’re both so stupid but they’re both sweet too. I’m glad you’ve alluded to them talking about it all soon, since this silence is gonna kill Dana if they don’t. I’m glad Alice was there for her for the needle. although I shouldn’t expect anything less. I love this!
kick ass chap!!
another good ch…it is amazing how your “friends” are always there for you
great chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful chapter, cougar! Josh is a sweetie. He did a good job on getting Dana to open up about what is bothering her. I’m glad Alice was able to get past the hurt long enough to help Dana with her chemo treatment. And Josh is right — Dana needs to make the first move. Not only that, but, if you wait for everything to be perfect, the time to make the first move will never come. Thanks for the great update!
Love your story. Keep it up
Alice is so sweet. I heart her.
AWW… Alice so sweet! I was gonna say, if A lets D go through pain of needs, I’m gonna be mad at Al… But what can I say, I can never hate that woman. I think same goes for Dana, and vice versa. Great Chap! I hope Dana speaks up… Poor Al must think Dana is mad at her for calling her baby. PPS
