Forever Friends Ch. 27
Previously –
Alice stood in front of Dana and gently lifted her to her feet wrapping her into a big hug. “Well you are my best friend and I never could figure out a way to say ‘I am thankful every year that I get to spend Thanksgiving with you because I am in love with you and want to spend all of my time with you.’”
Dana smiled and hugged Alice tight. “You just did.”
Chapter 27 –
Dana woke to the annoying sound screaming from her alarm. She slapped the snooze button quickly and rolled over. She was a little surprised to wake to her alarm. Recently Alice would turn the alarm off before it would awaken her and Alice would wake her up. She was disappointed when she stretched out her arm and found the other side of the bed empty. She had fallen asleep last night with Alice lying next to her and was kind of hoping to find the writer sleeping next to her this morning. Dana opened her eyes and smiled at the site. Alice was curled up in the chair sound asleep.
Dana sat up in bed and turned off the alarm. She was feeling much better this morning than she had for the past few days. She stood up on the first try and didn’t feel like she was going to fall over at any second. She figured the antibiotics were finally starting to work and decided to go to the bathroom and get ready before waking Alice.
It was about 9:30 when Dana emerged from the bathroom dressed in a clean pair of sweats and tank top. She smiled again when she saw Alice still sleeping in the chair. Dana quietly walked over to her and used the blanket Alice was coved up with to tickle her nose. Dana had to suppress her laugh when Alice wiped her nose and mumbled something incoherent. Dana then tickled Alice’s ear with the blanket. Alice tugged at her ear several times, but continued to snore. Dana finally quit teasing her and lightly shook Alice’s shoulder. “Al…Al, time to wake up. Al…”
Alice jumped and opened her eyes quickly. “What? What’s wrong? I’m awake what do you need me to do?” Alice sat up in the chair and looked Dana over head to toe several times trying to figure out what was wrong.

amazing chap!!! Dana’s comebacks still have me chuckling…so needed after crap at work :)
Nice story you have going on here. Well done.
Great update, cougar! I’m glad that Dana is feeling so much better. Loved everyone hanging out at The Planet. I can understand Dana wanting to keep the news to herself for a bit. I can’t wait to see where Dana wants to go. I hope Alice backs off a little bit on the mother hen stuff — I could see Dana getting frustrated with it as she continues to improve. Thanks so much! PPS!
I’m so glad Dana is feeling better now. After a long day, reading this is real good. Thank you.
