    Sacred Wound_Chapter 2

     

     

    It’s been an unsettling week for Bette. The days seem longer and cold for mid April and that’s causing the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.  It doesn’t help the situation either when constant snickers and below a whisper talk follows Bette. ‘What is up with everyone this week? Everyone is acting strange. Almost like the day I returned from my trip to Tahoe.’

     

    The tragic love story of Bette and Tina was known by every lesbian in California. The two hottest women potentially shacking up together to play wife and wife was the news. Everyone who knows them followed their story closely; everyone who didn’t know them followed their situation avidly.    

     

    There was a small percent who thought that Bette wouldn’t go through with the proposal. There were others who thought Bette was going to dump Tina eventually (for them). So, when the news of that Tina had left Bette on their trip, it sent waves of shocked through the lesbian scenes. They couldn’t believe it, Bette the predator was now Bette the laughingstock (for a short while).

     

    Caramel Eyes called her friendly reporter to shed some light on this uneasiness. “Al, there’s something going on, and even you’ve been avoiding me since The Planet.” Bette planted fiction in Alice’s ear. “I know the truth now; you don’t have to hide it anymore.”

     

    ‘No way! She knows Tina is back, and she’s alright about it.’ Alice thought to herself. ‘Maybe Bette is over TK. She seems to be or else she wouldn’t be this calm and cool about it.’

     

    “I’m sorry Porter. How did you find out that Tina was back in town? Did Shane tell you?” Alice asked not realizing that she had just revealed the secret. The reporter was met with silence. “Porter? Hello? Are you still there?” Alice taps on the phone to check if it was still working.

     

    “She’s back? Did you say Tina is back? My Tina?” Bette screamed into the phone. Alice knew then that she was played by Caramel Eyes and that she had also told Bette that the free-spirited blonde is now back in town. It’s been confirmed.

     

    Alice gulped. “Yes, Tina’s back. Please don’t kill me!” The blonde reporter clicked on the ‘end’ button. ‘Porter is so going to kill me!’ She thought.

     

    “I can’t believe this.” Bette drops her phone on the desk. “T is back in town. What am I going to do?” She asked herself as she leans back on her executive chair. “Why is she back? Why did she leave?” Caramel Eyes questioned the ceiling as drops of tear flows freely on her cheek like syrup on hot pancakes.

    3. hey lady… i read this at work last night… i like this story… i am also wondering all the WHY’s… maybe tina has heard all the stories about bette and doesn’t want to fall in love with her… but guess what… its too late… they both have it bad for each other… now if only they would just open up and talk… and i hope bette is not thinking of tying tina up at her house while she works… i hope thats not what she needs the girls for… to baby sit her… interesting… PPS

    7. I love how you write their inner conversations. I am happy to hear that I am not the only one who carries on a conversation with themselves. What gets me into trouble is when I carry this conversation out loud.

    9. The banter is so funny and very light hearted, but yet you feel the love in their words, so freakin stubborn,lol this remidns me of moonlighting, remember with david and maddie constantly bantering, LOL you know it true love when you banter like this,lol PPS :)
