One Or The Other – Chapter 3
The two of them got a rude awakening when Angelica started fussing with the beginnings of her teary tantrums. Bette got up first, trying to ascertain the source of their disturbance.
Tina, on the other hand, had gathered the child in her arms. She rocked back and forth, soothing her daughter back to sleep. The girl wiggled in Tina’s arms, voicing her growing grumpiness to both of them.
“Someone’s at the door,” Tina spoke over Angelica’s loud cries.
Bette jumped off the bed and almost sprinted toward the front of the apartment. She unlocked the door, opening it with more force than necessary. “Yes?”
“Uh Bette?” Shane and Alice took an involuntary step back. “We heard about Angelica.”
She frowned, letting them in without another word. The three of them sat down in the living room, and soon after Tina joined them. The blonde turned to Bette. “She’s ok. Just fussy. I gave her some meds.”
“Ok,” Bette tried not to sound too disappointed.
“What did the doctor say?” Shane took in their appearance, knowing Alice could sense the change as well.
“Just fever. Doctor Matthews said it’s probably the weather.”
Alice turned to her best friend. “We went over to your place earlier, but your car wasn’t there.”
“So we thought we’d check Tina’s place, see if you need anything,” Shane added.
“Thanks, guys,” Tina offered them a smile, content that it managed to placate her ex-wife at the same time. She filed Bette’s behavior away for later. There were other pressing matters.
Before Alice could speak, Shane quickly jumped in. “Have you had anything to eat?”
“Does coffee count?” Bette’s lips curled up in a smile.
Alice rolled her eyes. “Is Elton John gay? Of course.”
“Then no. I had tea.” Alice had commissioned the nearest pillow and hurled it straight at Bette, but the brunette ducked in time. Bette responded with a wide grin, clutching a nearby pillow in her hand.
“Why don’t we order in?” Tina cut in hurriedly, laying a hand on Bette’s wrist and effectively breaking the brewing pillow fight. “I’m too tired to cook.”
“Spoil sport,” Alice mumbled. “I’ll call Kit. We’ll pick up the order.”

You should be able to update from Finland. These two so need to do more talking, more hugging, and definitly more letting go of the past. What’s done is done, learn, from it, move on, and get on with your life together. Shay is too cute.
I loved the sweet gentleness of Bette and Tina holding one another. Now if only they could talk things through and move on.
That was great!
Hey SD, Good to have more of this intense drama. Loved the sweetness between Bette and Tina. I was so upset when the sins of the past reared their ugly head and shut on the little progress that Bette and Tina had made. These gals really need to talk things through once and for all then move forward together. Their love is strong and their bond deep and now just letting each other know exactly how they feel should help them move past these difficult time and towards a brighter future. Thank you for this wise and wonderful words. Your Loyal Fan.
