Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 45

Chapter 45: Last days of disco (Alice tells about her date and later the girls are going to SheBar)

(Previously) “TK, do you have vodka or tequila or anything stronger than water?”

“That bad, huh?” Tina asked, walking into the kitchen, “There’s some beer in the fridge…Shane left it when they visited us last week.”

Alice took the beer bottle and without offering any explanations, began drinking as if she has been thirsty for a week. She didn’t stop until she finished the whole bottle of ‘Dos Equis’ and through this whole time Tina was waiting patiently for her to say something.

She never saw Alice in such a state of complete silence. Their unpredictable friend could never keep her mouth shut and she would talk to herself if there was no one to listen. This sudden change made Tina really unsettled.

After the long silence became unbearable, Tina couldn’t hold it any longer and asked, grabbing Alice’s shoulders, “Alice…for God’s sake, say something.”

“It’s not that bad, Tina,” Alice finally said, throwing away the bottle. “But it potentially could be dangerous. First of all, I almost got busted. Guess who else showed up for dinner?”

Place: Orange County, CA – Porter mansion

    Year: End of January, 2006

“Alice, I will never guess, so why won’t you just tell me.”

“Come on, Tina, just try once. You know I like to play games,” Alice pleaded, “Pleeeease…”

“When I’m a nervous wreck I don’t like to play games…okay, okay,” Tina shrugged her shoulders, seeing Alice pouting, “Hmm…one guess? Santa Clause?”

“If you don’t want to play, just say so,” Alice replied with a smile and then added seriously, “Amy from ATF showed up…apparently she and Officer Perkins know each other.”

    “Wait…Amy as in hot-blonde-hitting-on-Carmen-Amy?”

“Yep, that’s the one,” Alice nodded her head, opening another beer.

“I need one too,” Tina said and grabbed the bottle that Alice handed to her. “So how do Lara and Amy know each other?”

“How do all lesbians know each other? They either dated before or they know someone they dated. We are all connected…you know, you just gave me an idea. I think I want to start a lesbian connection chart. I bet I can connect myself to Madonna,” Alice said excitedly, looking up to the ceiling and no doubt imagining her new project.

    1. hehehe, that would be SOOO embarrassing. I can’t help but wish Tina had told Bette about Christina. I have a feeling not telling her will backfire. PPS!

    2. Hey B&TForever ! Sorry for being so late in commenting, but I was away for a few days and also incredibly busy. Anyway, very nice chapter ! Can’t wait for Tina to tell Bette about Christina, ’cause, let’s face it, she’s going to find out sooner or later, right ? I mean, she has to, and to be honest, I like this kind of drama. I just hope she gets to hear it from Tina, even if that’s going to hurt at first… I can’t wait for you to post more of this, B&TF ! You’re doing a great job with this story, as usual.

    3. Hope that Kit continues to get better. I am torn between Tina telling Bette about Christina or not. Probably in the end it is best that Tina tells Bette.
