    Chapter Fourteen

     

    “Oh c’mon Tina you’re always working and working why don’t you come have fun and play with us? I’m pretty sure you’ll see a lot of good looking men there!”

    It was Friday night and Tina was about to leave her office when she received a phone call from a friend inviting her for a night out to Los Angeles’ hottest nightclub, Foxtail.

    Olivia Cohen was one of the blonde’s friends who had been encouraging the blonde to go out with guys for several months now. She even setup several dates for Tina but her efforts were fruitless, for Tina never liked any of those men.

    Although Tina had already told her therapist, Peggy that she might be falling in love with Bette, she didn’t have the nerve yet to tell all of her friends that she was now going out with a woman. So far, it was only her best friend Adrienne Spencer who knew about the dark-eyed beauty.

    “Olivia thanks for the invite but really I’m tired and I just want to go home, lie in bed and rest”

    “Alright suit yourself but if you change your mind you know where to go okay?”

    “Alright, thanks again”

    “Sure bye!”

    Finally, her friend left her alone and ended the call. She hurriedly fixed her things, took her bag and locked her office. As she walked towards her car, she glance at her watch and noticed that it’s already seven in the evening and she thought that Bette should be home.

    The last time that she saw Bette was two days ago when the younger brunette visited her in her office and brought her lunch.  She smiled when her mind wandered back to that afternoon… that one sexy afternoon and now while driving in her car she thought she couldn’t wait to see Bette.

    It only took her about fifteen minutes to reach Bette’s apartment. Tina didn’t bother to call or text the younger brunette because she wanted to surprise her. She even brought her flowers, which she found weird because she never gave anyone flowers in her entire life before, well of course with the exception of her mother but then she thought that the dark-eyed beauty wasn’t just another person… Bette was the only one who had evoked the feelings in her she never knew she was capable of having.
