Let It Happen – Chapter VI
She sat bolt upright. The satellite phone!
Her eyes flew open. The rest of her body struggled to catch up, as she sought to clear her head. Dawn was breaking, and the silence of a powder blue haze of the early morning was still blanketing the city. She shook her head groggily, thinking that she had probably slept 3 or 4 hours, at most, after a long happy day, and very long, very happy night with Tina.
With one hand on her head, Bette gingerly lifted Tina’s bare leg carelessly strewn across Bette’s stomach, with the other hand, and slowly slid out to the side of the bed. She gently laid Tina’s leg back down over the crumpled sheets, stroked the blonde’s thigh, and then kissed it. She carefully covered Tina with a bed sheet that had been kicked to the side during the night.
She looked down fondly at the blonde, as she covered Tina, and bit her lip as she scanned the bed. Bedcovers, pillows, and everything that hadn’t been basically tied down to something were scattered around the floor.
She stood by the side of the bed, took a deep breath, shut her eyes for a second. She opened it again. Her eyes wandered around carefully, committing everything about the quiet morning bedroom scene to memory. She would need these memories to keep her going over the next few months, maybe even longer.
Especially those of Tina. Tina of the golden hair, beautiful face, smooth, creamy skin, and goddess-like body. Tina of the curious mind, kind and giving heart, sparkling hazel eyes. The love of her life. She knew that now.
A wave of emotion swept suddenly over her and doubled her up in grief. She wept quietly for them, keeping her sobs silent, as she covered her mouth with one hand, and supported her body with the other, leaned over on her knee. Everything was about to change for her, and now for Tina also, in the next few minutes.
Why? Why now? Why this love now? Now? Over the span of just the last 6 days or so, Tina had managed to change her outlook on life completely. But over the last few months, something else, something worse, was also determining her fate, that she’d tried to forget.

Hi!
I want you ask something – how many comments have you got on “old” site in the chapter when Tina confessed Bette that she cheated on her? How bad where they?
Don’t remember how many, but most of the comments (if not all) indicated people “felt” Bette’s pain.
Deleted previous comment – i was wrong with timing of Tina’s cheating. Yeah it was after DС, when they were in NY already. And therefore of course it as cheating
… and now you add mystery and suspense to the romance ; this marvellous story keeps me captivated and totally holds spellbound !
It’s official – I’m addicted. Period.
And so happy to be !! ;-)
As you might have guessed, I’m responding to you in reverse order (!) to your posts. Thanks for reading through the chapters :-). Glad you are hooked!
