SUGGESTION:  Go follow your favorite authors and make them FAVORITES then you can get email updates when they do post – or check your favorites online HERE.   Also, here is an easy way to find authors and their stories.

    congratulations with this site, it looks wonderful.

    I have a question, how will i be able to find the newest updates for the l-word fanfictions.

    Will it be like the old site?

    • Follow the link at the top of the page – the black bar way up top – to L-word Fanfic YES, it will list stories from most recent at top. Tomorrow, the stories should be updated so that all the recent stories are there. Enjoy! Thanks for the kind words!

  2. Congratulations on the new site. I am so not tech savvy and may be missing something. When I try to read a story I can only see half of the page. (The right side). How do I get to see the full page?

    • Ally isn’t posting to fanfic.me so I don’t know what notification you would have gotten. Can you explain? The old site is not online – again, I don’t know what you’re seeing except maybe a page stored in your browser that no longer exists. The Stories from May 2013 – to now are not yet online. Hopefully they will be today!

  3. Congratulatons on the new site. I just had a fanfic.me notifiction on an update from Ally Emmerson – but the ony stories I can find are from 2013 and the link in the notification didn´t actuallywork. I think it redirected me to the old site. Sorry to be a bother.

    • Thank you! I think the dust will settle quickly and that everyone will see we have so many more tools here for readers and writers – AND to provide news updates! The forum kicks butt too! ;-)

  5. I know things are still being moved over and kinks worked out, so no rush on this, but I wanted to bring to your attention that the visual editor will not load – only the text editor. Clicking on the tab will not engage it and I have already checked in my profile that I have not disabled it. From what I gather from researching it, WordPress sometimes has this issue. I thought it was my computer, but now I’ve checked on three different ones and updated Flash as well, and still no worky.

    I only mention this because I am html illiterate and won’t be able to format my text as I would like without the visual editor.

    Thanks….rest of the site looks great and I love the FAVES feature!

        • Thanks for checking into this. I have used latest versions of Firefox, Explorer and Chrome on latest versions of windows.

          If you are getting it on our end, I suspect it might be my account only. The first time I attempted to add a story, the visual editor tab was there and working, but I accidently clicked the text editor tab and now the visual editor will not activate. It just floats in the background.

          but since I’m not the site admin, I can’t do anything more than to de-active plugins, etc., but to no avail! :(

          When the dust settles…and I mean that, no hurries…if you could have a programmer check out my account to see if it is just me, that would be great.

          Meanwhile, I will attempt to use the text editor, but no promises that the next Eternal Rocks will be rocking! :)

  6. I am navigating the new site Jackie and it looks good. Thank you guys for all the hard work. My question is when everything is moved over, will the chapters in the stories be put in order? I tried reading Skipton’s Reprise and the chapters were out of sync. Just wondering.

  7. Hi, I am completly lost.. I cannot find the fanfics eg the rock beneath me and all the latest ones. will this become easier once things have settled… I am getting withdrawl system because it is a few days since I read a fanfic.. sorry about moaning but I realy miss the fanfics… thank you..

  11. Hi, I’m lost on a couple of things

    #1 Where do I find my favorites after adding Author & Story’s?
    #2 From the L-Word FANFIC home page after clicking on page # 2 and the scroll to the bottom it doesn’t give you the options to click on Page # 3 it only has previous by this author or home page

  12. Hi Jacky thanks for all the hard work. The new site is taking some getting used to but I’m sure I’ll adjust quickly. I have noticed two things:
    1. When I load the L Word Fanfic page I see 4 or 5 stories but when I click page 2 (or any other for that matter) a complete story loads and not a list of stories. I know I can search by fave but I also like to read posts from new authors. So could you please check that glitch ( and maybe increase the number of stories listed per page?)
    2. On the iPad, the left edge of the stories aren’t visible if you hold the tablet in portrait but if you landscape it you can.
    I’m getting by as is but just thought you’d like to know.

    • 1. I’m not seeing that happen, and I’ve been all of the site a lot. No one else is reporting that, either.
      2. We’re aware of the display on mobile devices and we are working on that. It should be fixed within a few days.

    Thanks for hard work & quick action, I do not know if you have done to move all Stories added after April 2013 or still in the process of being moved, in case it done, pls note as below:
    1. GrindRight last story on Feb 10 named ” All Work and No Play ” seem has not moved yet, I do not see in GrindRight’s list
    2. Skydancer already posted Love Soul Heaven Hell – Chapter XX in the old site, here the last one is chapter 19 not 20.
    3. I have same as Barrie says, when I load the L Word Fanfic page I see 4 stories but when I click page 2 (or next page ) it’s a complete story loads but not a list of stories.

    • Hiya – yes the stories are moved now (phew!).
      1. It sounds like that story got caught up in the server problem. I’ll notify her and ask her to re-post it.
      2. Same thing. I’ll notify here.
      3. WOW – you two are the only ones that is happening to. I just re-tested it again. Can you get screenshots and urls and email them to me? It’s the only way to figure it out. Thank you!

        I’m getting the same problem with the L word fanfic page.

        Page one of the fic has the latest four stories, when i then click to to to page 2 the stories are not set out as previews you can click but the whole story is open, there are about 5 full stories open on page 2. At the bottom of page 2 it doesnt give me the option to go to page 3, just back to ffmain page or authors previous chapter.

        Will try to email you the screen shots and urls if that will help,

        I know there are other ways to search but i like to see what has been posted.

        Also, when i clicked to go to the last page it again opened the story up in full instead of the last page or story previews.

        Does this in chrome as well as firefox.

        Also would it be possible to have more than 4 story previews on each page, i liked the old option of seeing the last 30 stories posted, if there are settings i can change to have a similar option, be great if you could point them out.

        Thanks for all your hard work, though, i’m sure all the kinks will be worked out.

    When clicking on FANFIC FAVES it only loads from FANFIC FAVES and up nothing below and I keep getting error message not responding or script running. Am I doing something wrong?
