DCL: More Fun #2

Dolores Nogales

Ranger Nogales was looking for trouble and it did not take long for her to find it upon arriving in El Paso.  She watched the deal go down, with no police in sight.  Stepping out of her vehicle with her Stetson hat atop her head, she prepares to show the buyer and seller her badge and then arrest both.

All it takes is the image of the hat to send both running.  The buyer looks like a grade-A junkie and not likely to get as far.  The seller appears to have Los Panchos ties, judging by red and green “flag” in his shirt pocket.  Now giving chase, Ranger Nogales pulls a pistol out from her holster and continues down an alleyway.

The ambush is precise as she suddenly feels a sudden shove from her left side out of nowhere, causing her to slam against the wall to her right.  Ranger Nogales now finds herself face to face with three young men, the middle of which has a pistol aimed at her forehead.

Gangster “Looks like you done messed up.”

She sees him stepping forward.  There is only so much time for her to react.  The next decision may be the one decides life or death for Dolores.

Sandra of the Secret Service

She has just checked on her daughter, Sara Lou who is sound asleep and now it is simply a moment between herself and her wife, Sally.

“Gavonia?” Sally asks, before delivering a smirk.

Sally “Sure you don’t want me coming along?  I have experience on these things, you know.”

Sandra smiles as the two come together in the living room.

Sandra “I’ll be fine.  Besides…”

Sandra leans in with a kiss.

Sandra “Think of all the fun you’ll have talking about Mommy S fighting bad guys in another country.”

Sally “Or asking them for bank statements.”

Sandra shrugs.

Sandra “It’s a living.”

Sally “Well, hey…be careful over there.”

Sandra “I will.”

The two engage in another kiss as Sandra is soon to depart inside an airplane.  Her destination will be the small nation of Gavonia.

For a moment, Sally almost considers hiring a babysitter and following her anyway.  It would not be the first time.
