A Different Kind of Love – (Chapter: One : A New Begining)

    Chapter One
    A New Beginning

    Spencer POV:

I hated the thought of leaving everything I knew and starting over my life. I knew it would come sooner or later but why did we have to move to Washington and out of all cities Seattle. Its always cold and rainy, yeah I love the rain but I don’t know if I will be able to stand it day in and day out.

Life as I knew it had ended, Mom and Dad split a month ago and I decided to live with Dad even if it means moving from the only home I have ever known. Dad grew up in Seattle, I had been a few times to visit Grandma but she died when I was 14 so after that we never really came back.

School starts up in a week; I guess my parents had planned the divorce that way so if I decided to go with Dad starting in a new school would be somewhat easier. Clay and Glen decided to stay in Ohio. Clay had a full scholarship to a college and Glen didn’t want to leave his girlfriend, which I thought was stupid because they have only been together for a month and a half.

So that leaves me and dad in a little house out in the middle of nowhere. I am so glad we get internet out here or I think I would die. My iPod has died for the third time this week, Dad says I need to lay off the music and video games but I can’t help it there is nothing else to do. If my friends back home could see me now they would think I’m a huge nerd, but what does that matter now.

Dad made me get out of the house today he said I can’t go back in for an hour. Its not that I hate it here I just have no one to hang out with and I spend all my time thinking of my friends and talking to them online. Okay that’s a lie, I miss my boyfriend, Kirk, and all I do is daydream about him. We said we would be together no matter what even if it had to be a long-distance relationship. Yeah it sucks but at least I can see him on my winter break because Mom wants me to spend Christmas with both of my brothers that was part of the deal we made.

I tossed and turned all night because I knew today was the day I had to start my life over. My Classes seemed easy enough; then again school had always been easy for me. My first class was at 7 and I had been up since 5, well that’s when I gave up on trying to sleep. It was too cold to go sit on the porch so I just went down stairs and watched TV as I ate some cereal. Dad came down around 6:15 and told me that he would take me on my first day. Since Glen always drove me to school I never bothered to get my license but now I guess I need to.
