A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 10-The Black Parade)
"It’s your mother, Ashley. I don’t know how it works but I can feel its enormous energy beating along with your heart." Judith said quietly. Odette flipped her red hair behind her ear and bent over to take a good look at it.
"Ashley, this means your mother’s love has always been strong and she’ll be in every battle you’re involved in. I’m so proud of you…" Odette choked through tears, and I could only reply by hugging her lovingly.
"I’m so happy to have three of the best moms around." I say, hearing Kyla giggle behind me. She walked up to me shyly and grabbed my arm to take a good look at our mother. "She’s the best looking warrior I’ve ever seen. Look at the size of the black scythe and those daggers she’s hiding in those boots. Damn, I miss her." Kyla said quietly.
I suddenly felt another presence wake up inside of me and it wasn’t my mother’s soul; it was my soul mate Spencer instead.
I turn around to find a very beautiful girl staring back at me. Spencer was once pale but now her creamy skin finally displayed beautifully on her body and she was flashing me her new gorgeous vampire smile.
Before we could say anything to each other, obnoxious and horrible music began playing in the background. There was a certain noise that all vampires could not stand and it was the loud screeching of horribly played guitars. Everyone in the farmhouse covered their ears, except for Aiden, who was sacrificing his own sensitive hearing for Spencer’s.
"What the fuck is that?!" Arial screamed, although no body really wanted to reply. It took a few minutes before the screeching subsided but there was still music of terror playing from outside. When we were brave enough to venture to the front door, our hearts could’ve exploded in absolute disgust and fear.
There was a marching band down the road, but this was no ordinary marching band. It was a parade of Zombies, Werewolves, and a whole family of dead bodies hanging uselessly in the air above them. Spencer, who was standing beside me, clenched her heart as she gasped in horror.
We used our enhanced vision to read the sign that was begging to be read on the front of their purposely pathetic looking float: The Black Parade.
It looks like the war was about to begin now that Spencer and I made the infamous connection. The thing that’s troubling me, though, is that we’re not even in Ohio yet so what could this mean?
