"So." I say turning to face her.
"So."
"Yeah um, so why did you come here?"
"I don’t know. It seemed like your thoughts were running a mile a minute when you left first period. I thought I could give you a penny for your thoughts." she says smiling and holding out a penny.
"Cute, but I’m too rich for my own good. I don’t need another penny."
"Oh." she says dropping her hand and turning back to the ocean.
We sit there for a few more minutes in silence. I couldn’t tell if it was comfortable or not. All I knew was that I needed to hear her voice again.
"So why are you really here?" I say still looking out at the water
"I think you know why."
"Actually I don’t know why. I don’t know you and you don’t know me."
"Well there you go. You do know." she says smiling at me, while I’m completely confused.
"Huh?"
"Right there. What you said. You don’t know me and I don’t know you. But I’d like to get to know you and I was hoping you’d like to get to know me."
No one besides Aiden has ever wanted to get to know me. Not even my own family and well Aiden was just a fluke. He was the only act of kindness my mother ever showed. Why does this girl want to get to know me?
"There’s not much to know. You’d just be wasting your time." I say keeping my cool.
"I highly doubt that." she says smiling at me.
There it was again. My stomach flipping and my mouth getting dry. What is this power that this girl has over me?
"Why do you have to do that?" I say turning to face her now.
"Do what? I don’t know what you’re talking about."
"Just, oh never mind." I say getting up and walking away.
"No, what do you mean?" she says quickly grabbing my arm and stopping me.
As soon as she did that I felt an electrical shock go through my arm and I knew she felt it too because she quickly dropped her hand to her side and blushed.
"Sorry. It’s just I feel drawn to you somehow and I don’t know why." she said looking at the ground.
I lifted her chin up slightly with my hand and looked into her eyes. I don’t know why, normally I’m the fuck em and leave ‘em type, but with Spencer I felt different. I wanted to get to know her. With Spencer I felt someting.
"Listen, I’m sorry. It’s just that I’ve never had anyone, besides Aiden, who wanted to get to know me or who wanted to care about me."
"Will you let me?" she says now looking into my eyes.
"Perhaps." I say with a smirk and running towards the water. "Depends on if you can catch me, blondie."
"Oh I wouldn’t worry about that." she says yelling and running after me.
The next few hours were spent with us running around and having fun. I had never felt so alive, and to think I only met her this morning.

Ok, so I continue to like this story. It contains the three basic things I usually like from an FF: easy to follow, realistic dialogue, and Spashley :) I do indeed hope that you continue it.
