Beneath the moonlight shines the truth. – (Chapter: Spencer's first day.)
"So what’s your first lesson?" I asked, part of me, well okay all of me hoping that she had history like me. Spencer sped through her papers till she found her schedule. She glanced over it till she found what she was looking for. "Err… Monday, first…. That would be history" She replied after she had cross examined it. Something weird took over me once those words filled my ear drums. Something I hadn’t felt in a long time. Excitement, joy? I was looking forward to spending more time with the new girl she intrigued me; now my whole existence seemed to revolve around her.
This was wierd because I’d only been around this beautiful stranger for a few minutes. And yet I found myself drawn to her and my body yearned for me to embrace this feeling. I did embrace the feeling but only slightly. No way was I letting my shields down, not just yet anyway. Hmm… I can’t believe I’m even going to consider letting my shields down to a small town girl like Spencer Carlin….
"Ashley?! Ashley?! Hey you there?" Spencer asked waving her hand in front of my face. I frowned then blushed. I guess I must have been daydreaming again. It’s a Force of habit and Spencer being really nice on the eye probably didn’t help. I found myself saying to myself: Hey! Come on Ashley snap out of it and say something, she must think that you’re stupid.
"Oh. Right sorry" I blushed again. Shaking my head I looked at her. “So history right? I’ve got that next too. Right this way" I said eventually and began walking towards our History room. Spencer followed me and she passed me as we reached the door to our history room. Our arms brushed and I felt my arm tingle. And in that moment I wanted her; I wanted her right then and there. She must have noticed because I saw a slight blush before her blonde fringe fell over her face obscuring it. But I could have just been a trick of the light; I was still hung over after all. Plus I habit of making things up.
I walked in before her and held the door open for her. Looking over at my history teacher I smiled politely. I hate Mr Arthur but I was about to talk to him so it seemed the right thing to do.
