Spencer knew she didn’t exactly have a lot of time to waste before she told Gray. By her calculations she was pretty close to 8 weeks pregnant. If Elly’s pregnancy were anything to go by, she’d be showing within a few weeks. That was going to look suspicious, but she could always throw most people off by saying she’d gained weight. Gray however, had the right to know. And probably sooner rather than later. Her parents also needed to find out, but they could wait. As could Elly really. It was more Gray she was worried about now.
Part of her was annoyed that she had to call him. It had been just over 2 weeks since they’d agreed to part at her parents house and Gray was yet to call in to see Elly. Spencer supposed she shouldn’t have been surprised but she was still annoyed. While Elly took it all in her stride at the moment, Spencer was worried that at some point in time the lack of a father’s attention was going to have some detrimental effects. Well, that wasn’t something to worry about right now. The list of things to worry about was growing by the minute, no point in looking for things to add to it.
These thoughts revolving through her mind like so many office doors, Spencer picked up the telephone and dialled a familiar number. It only rang a few times before a voice like velvet answered,
“Hey you”
“Hey Ash.” Spencer couldn’t help smiling just at hearing the other girls voice, which was mildly ridiculous given that she’d called her, so who else was she going to hear.
“Everything ok?”
“Yeah. Does something always have to be wrong for me to call?” Spencer got worried. “Am I acting like a user?” Oh gods.
“No, no, no,” Ash laughed, “Don’t be silly. I know that things are difficult at the moment is all and I worry. And you’re anything but a user. You feed me half the nights of the week.”
“Yeah well, I worry about you. You don’t eat right.” Spencer replied obstinately.
“If you feed me any better I’m going to need to borrow your maternity clothes.”

Ashley is such sweetheart, who could help but to fall desperately in love with that girl?!? Gray…should die a slow torturous death, what a freakin jerk! Great update, I can’t wait for more!!
You know they really need to make a dictionary of compliments because I am starting to run out of ways of describe this story. As of right now, the best word I can think of for this story is PERFECT! Your plot line, characters, descriptions….it’s all AMAZING. I love this story to no end. I have to say, Ashley is the best best bestestest character ever in this story. Although Mr. Ruffles is definetly starting to outshine them all. When is he getting his own spinoff?I can’t wait! Anyway, I steal every compliment from the english language and give them to you, because you deserve them more! PMS! I will sit here and weep until you get back. Don’t take long or I will drown in tears and you will be responsible for the reason why it says RIP above my head. ;) LOVED IT!!!
Ah, now it’s official. You have the best active fan fiction on the site…given the Caseygurl seal of approval. This is the highest praise! Congrats!! Loving this story…pregnancy a nice twist. So much to play with now. Predictions: Pressured by form and family, Spencer and Gray will do what is expected…try to pull it together. Spence won’t live with Gray, but they’ll do therapy to see if they can mend things. Poor Ash. These things take time and no one knows how they will turn out, but Spencer is getting spunky and is really working on being true to herself. She’ll figure out what is best for her and subsequently it’ll be what’s best for everyone. Thank God Gray didn’t even consider custody of Elly…that would have been too traumatic. One does wonder, and with concern, how Ash is holding up. BTW…while you are on sandy beaches, here in upstate NY we have snow! :-P Enjoy your vacation and…PMS!!!
Yeah Gray is sucking hairy monkey balls. That so sucked. But, I’m happy that Spence kicked his ass out and that Ashley was there to catch her. Great update.

Um, I think she had EVERY right to throw him out! I mean what the hell! Just another testiment to the fact Gray is a gigantic ass that should be fed to the zebras! But I did love when Ash said: ‘Well. It’s you and me against the world babe’. I mean talk about, *swoons* Awesome! Your doing a great job with this fic. Its gripping with every chapter and I’m lovin it. Thanks for adding some Mr. Ruffles action in there, just wouldn’t be the same without him! ;) Have fun drinking wine and walking on the sandy beaches…but just know its not the same on the boards without you and your stories. ACK! Clomle! I love ya! Thanks for updating, my dear! And what an update it was! It really showed just how disconnected Gray is from his family by his reaction to Spencer’s pregnancy. I can’t say that I completely blame him for his questions, because he was in shock, but I also can’t blame Spencer for her reaction, as her emotions are swirling out of control due to the pregnancy AND she has some rightful anger towards Gray as it is. Hell, as far as I’m concerned, kick the bastard out and snuggle Ashley. You know what a snuggle monkey I am. ::sigh:: You made my Friday morning.

thank you for taking pity on us and finding time to post….sounds like you are having a wonderful time on your vacation…enjoy. We will be anxiously awaiting your return…I will try to accept the fact that authors do have a life besides writing fanfiction. Great post as usual. Drum roll please….and the award for best ongoing SON drama series is…..Clome44 for Best for Me. (Cue standing ovation and thunderous applause) Wow….I finally had the chance to sit down and read this story through and I wish I had not waited so long to do so. You are the undisputed fanfiction master. You are the ‘wax on’-‘wax off’-catch a fly in a pair of chopsticks-make Mr. Miyagi say ‘Hai Daniel-son’-Spashley master!!!! I lay down my laptop before you and bow humbly at your feet. Your storylines are so perfect and well executed, I feel like I am living the story right along with the characters (and with perfect comma usage might I add ;-)) From the start of this story, you can feel that see-sawing battle of emotion and desire between the two girls as they struggle to find their places in each others’ lives. I think Ashley has realized the importance of letting Spencer go as she takes this journey to find herself, playing on the old saying “if you love someone you’ve gotta let them go, if they come back to you they’re yours”. I hope that Spencer knows that even though she has pushed Ashley away, Ashley will be there when she is ready. I love the idea that they could remain friends and how supportive and patient Ashley is during this nearly impossible time in Spencer’s life (although after this post it might not be THAT long). But alas, as you have stated, the timing is just not right, and only time will tell, but I think we all know that there will always be something more between them than ‘just friends’ and neither of them can deny that. I adore your story, your writing and you, and I am hopeful that there could be a happy Spashley ending in due time ;-). Keep up the great work, you have grown leaps and bounds as a writer in such a short time and you are sooooo creative and I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds. Here is where I wanted to leave a piece of criticism, because I know how much you love it, but as hard as I tried I could not find a single thing to harp on you for…sorry…I failed! One peculiar thing though…isn’t it funny that there can be ‘deafening silence’? I mean,if the silence makes you deaf…is there any auditory difference from being silent in the first place? Hmmmm…. ANYWAY, your vacation sounds magnificent and I hope you are enjoying every moment of it, but don’t get carried away you need to come back to post more. Can’t wait to read it!! :-)

You’re a God or Goddess and I worship your work. The people who write fan fiction amaze me. Ok, now for my review. Yes, she’s mine, too. But, she did cheat on her husband with Ashely. And just because Ashley is (our) Ashley, and our Spashley doesn’t mean Spencer wasn’t wrong for cheating. It’s better to be with someone who has chosen wisely, then to be with someone who has chosen haphazardly…in that way she can help both Gray and Ash…and Elly…and Mr. Ruffles! And hell, even her mother!!
