Oh wait, she’s talking again…. oh shit she’s talking to me!! Get your head out of the gutter and pay attention woman.

“…. this morning”

“Sorry what?” Belatedly realising I was sounding rather aggressive once I saw the expression on her face

“I umm, I…. I just wanted to apologise for this morning.  First day of school and I was, I mean I am just really nervous.  I didn’t notice you, in fact I stupidly had my eyes closed coz I was freaking out and desperately trying to get out the car gracefully and not make a fool of myself and in the end did exactly the opposite…. Oh god I’m rambling, she’s going to think I’m weird….”

God she’s cute, especially when she blushes.  I can’t believe I didn’t notice how blue her eyes were this morning, I’m certainly noticing now…. I’ve never seen eyes open so wide

“Umm sorry did I just say what I think I said out loud?”

“That I’m going to think you’re a freak?”

“Yeah, that would be it”

“Don’t worry, it was kinda cute.” she said as she winked at me

“I’m Ashley and it’s nice to meet you and not your door.  Spencer right?”

“Yeah, and I really am sorry about this morning! It’s nice to meet you Ashley”

“Don’t worry Spence, I’m sure you’ll figure out a way to make it up to me”

Did she just flirt with me?? Ooooh I like the sound of Spence, I could get used to it.  Ok, don’t read too much into this Spencer she can’t be flirting with you I mean you just apologised for nearly knocking her eye out this morning you just got to calm down and stop reading into things.

The next thing I knew the class was over and Ashley was packing up her books, I couldn’t believe class had gone so quickly.  Usually Maths class felt never ending, but this was bearable.

“So Spence what class do you have next?”

“Umm I think I’ve got English next, in fact I’d better head off and try and find out where it is”

“No worries, I can show you I’m headed there myself”
