“Spence, are you in here babe?” Ashley had finally decided to check the bathrooms at the other end of the school, she reasoned that this was where she would go so hopefully Spencer was here.

“Ash…. is that you?” said a quite voice that Ashley didn’t recognise

“Yeah Spence, you ok? You wanna let me in and talk about it?”

Slowly a stall door opened and Ashley saw Spencer, beautiful Spencer, crumpled in a heap on the floor with tears streaming down her face…. and all she wanted to do was wrap her arms around her if only to try and absorb some of the pain that was evident in her eyes.

“Shhh it’s ok Spence, I’m here now…. shhh” Ashley said as she sunk down to the floor and took Spencer into her arms, gently stroking her hair and whispering soothing words into her ear.

Please let this be helping, I don’t know what to do…. Ashley Davies does not do emotion! Man this is weird, all I want to do is make her feel better…. What the fuck is going on!!

“Ash…. I can’t…. he’s here… I never thought…. I’d never thought I’d see him again!”

“Hush Spence, it’s ok you don’t have to say anything”

Ashley, please don’t let me go Spencer thought I don’t think that I could breath if you let go, it hurts so much! God why is he here, why did he follow me?? Why can’t I stop crying, I thought I had no more tears left….

“Come on Spence, it can’t be that bad can it?”

“Please just hold me Ash…. don’t let go?”

“Never Spence, even if I wanted to I’m not going to let you go”

There was a soft knock on the door and a muffled voice asks if anyone is in there.  Ashley is only aware of Spencer and the fact the Spencer was now rigid in her arms and for the first time she can remember, Ashley feels protective of someone.  All she knows is that whoever is on the other side of the door is scaring Spencer to death. Slowly she lets go of Spencer and walks to the door….

“Look, I don’t know who the hell you are but you are not welcome here so fuck off ok?”

“Ok whoa lady, this is none of your business…. Is Spencer in there?” Aiden said, trying to look past Ashley and get to Spencer

Who the hell does this guy think he is?? He’s such a typical jock, cute but with nothing between the ears.

“I don’t want to talk to you Aiden”

What the fuck, when did Spencer sneak up behind me?…. good on you girl!

“Come on baby, we need to talk?”

“You have no fucking right to call me baby, you lost that right remember?”

Oh my god, I didn’t think Spence even knew how to swear…. and I never thought swearing could sound so hot!! Shut it Ashley, this is not the time or place….

“Spencer, I transferred here, moved across country and you won’t even give me the time of day? Everyone deserves a second chance don’t they?”

Ok I am starting to feel a little weird here….

“I still love you Spencer”

“Come on Ash, I can’t deal with this right now…. Can you take me somewhere?”

Oh my god, Spencer is holding my hand…. It feels good, I could get used to it….

“Umm ok sure Spence, where would you like to go?”

“Anywhere that’s as far away from him as I can get” Spencer says, looking at Aiden with such contempt that it scares Ashley just a little

The girls leave a confused and hurt looking Aiden behind, Spencer doesn’t even turn around and take a second look at the man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with.
