“Aiden spit it out, I am losing my short temper here, get on with it!” I reach over and take the knife, placing it to the side. He finally makes eye contact with me.

“We kind of have a special guest flying in today.” Giving me a forced smile.

“God Aiden, if this is another one of your internet hussies, you really shouldn’t trust those girls,. They lie on the apps., thought you learned that by now.” he shakes his head and scowls at me “You weren’t stupid and got some girl knocked up ,did you?”

　

“What! No, no, no! Please keep your voice down and let me talk.” He looks around, just as I am about to speak and he puts a hand up “And before you ask or conclude, no I am not flying your mom and her ninth husband in. We both know what a mess that would be.” he lets out a long sigh “Ashley the bad press the band has been getting lately is really getting the label worried. They are tired of fitting the bill for your reckless hotel parties, nights in jail , and not to mention out of court settlements. Consider yourself lucky you are only banned from the Hilton Hotel from your last party. You’re a rock star, there is no doubt about it but they don’t like the image you are putting out there. We both know you are not the bad girl the press loves to write about. Yes the band is the hottest thing out there but if we cannot clean this up, you’ll be without a job. No label will want to sign you, hot or not.”

I just slump back in my chair. It really couldn’t be that bad, could it? I know Aiden has meetings with the label, now more often then at the beginning of my career but I am Ashley Davies, lead singer of the band Dragon Link, they wouldn’t just drop us. After the last time I was arrested for some lame charge of disturbing the peace, I briefly remember Aiden telling me I need to give up the bad girl act and tone it down or it could have been the time before that. My rap sheet has been building over the years.
