This morning I woke up in my best friends car and I had no idea where I was. My head was throbbing and I felt like a truck had hit me. Suddenly my night’s events had come flooding back to me.

Flashback*

It was around 9 last night when my best friend Kristen called me up.

Kristen: Ash omg guess what!?

Ashley: Kristen knowing you it could be anything.

Kristen: All right well anyways… me and you are going to a party tonight and not just any party, it’s Aiden Dennison’s party. 

Now I’m not one to turn down a party, but a night out with my best friend usually is a morning full of vomiting and a lot of Tylenol.

Ashley: okay first of all where’s the party and who the hell is Aiden?

Kristen: Aiden is basically the hottest guy at UB and he’s an amazing athlete and Ash I know how much you love jocks!

Okay so maybe I haven’t mentioned to my best friend that sure I love athletes, but only if they come equipped with tits and a pussy. Believe me there’s nothing more I’d love than to just come out to Kristen, but I just don’t know how she’ll react.

Ashley: Oh you got me there…

Kristen: So you’ll go?

Ashley: Yeah. Just give me 20 minutes to get ready okay?

Kristen: Yeah no problem. See you soon love!

Oh boy this was going to be a long night and little to my knowledge this was going to be the party that would change my life forever.

Twenty minutes later Kristen showed up on time as usual considering we’re neighbors. Kristen and I have been best friends ever since we were old enough to walk. Our mothers swear we were friends in a previous life because they’ve never seen two people so loyal and devoted to each other. As much as I’d like to believe Kristen would accept me no matter who I am, I’m just not ready to risk our friendship over my being gay, but it’s getting harder and harder to keep this a secret from her.

Ashley: Hey girl. Wow you look great. Looks like I’ll have to beat the boys off of you with a stick tonight.
