DAWN: The unauthorized new finale to the Twilight series
CHAPTER 12:
RISK
I kissed Edward back then stood up. I fumbled in my suitcase for a fresh change of clothes, when I grabbed my tooth brush. “Edward?” I asked, “How I am I going to brush my teeth, anyways?”
The smile that graced Edward’s face was like one I had never seen before. It was like the face of a little boy who had made something for his mommy on Mother’s Day.
“Just you wait and see,” He said, then threw me over his back. It was a good thing I held everything I needed, because he took off quickly, grabbing a towel on his way out of the tent.
We ran a little into the forest, when we came across the stream. It was so clear and clean. The pebbles on the bottom glistened like jewels in the early morning light. But we didn’t stop there, Edward kept running. And running. And running.
I gasped when we stopped at a beautiful waterfall. It gently ran down the stone wall, landing in a clear pool at the bottom.
“You’re shower is on,” Is Edward, placing me on the soft bank.
“Oh, Edward,” I said, “It’s beautiful.”
“Take your time,” He said, “Call me when you are finished.” Then he disappeared behind a tree.
Taking off my pajamas, I stepped under the fall. The water was cold, yet soothing. It fully refreshed me as I washed myself with lilac scented soap and shampoo.
When I was through I toweled off and got dressed. “Alright!” I called, “I’m decent.” Edward slowly emerged from behind the tree.
“How did you enjoy it?” he asked.
“It was wonderful,” I said, as he threw me over his back.
We ran by the stream, still glistening in the light. As the sun streamed through the trees, Edward faintly sparkled below me.
When we got to the campsite, Jacob was waiting. “Bella!” He said, worried, running to me, “Are you alright?”
“Yes,” I said, “I’m fine. What’s wrong?”
“I came to check on you, and I found no one. I was afraid the pack had found out.”
“Found out about what.” I said, not making it a question, but a statement of worry.
“That I had come,” Said Jacob, “Bella, I’m getting extremely talented about not letting my thoughts get heard by them, but you never know.”
