DAWN: The unauthorized new finale to the Twilight series
CHAPTER 23:
TROUBLE
When Alice and I pulled into the garage, Edward stood waiting patiently, to make sure I was safe. I shut off the truck and got out, finding Edward suddenly next to me. He took me in his arms and kissed me. Alice smiled at us and then went into the house, leaving us alone.
“You can’t stand to be away from me can you?” I asked playfully.
“Do you truly need an answer to that?”
He kissed me gently.
“How is Billy?”
“Keeping a stiff upper lip.” I replied.
“I feel terrible for him.”
“So do I…imagine loosing a child…but everything happens for a reason.”
“I have surprise for you.” He said.
“No.” I said sarcastically.
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
This could have gone on for an hours. But Edward’s face was filled with such eagerness, that I couldn’t help but do it a few more times.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Hold on tight,” He said, then put me over his back and took off. He began climbing up the wall that led to his window. I held on as tightly as I could, my legs dangling above the ground as we went up and up.
I lost my breathe when we went through the window. He had set up our honeymoon again. My lullaby played from the stereo, the fruits and candies, the plants, everything except the faint couch. On my bed, the sheets had been replaced with silk and velvet. I could smell roses and lilacs. Candles were lit throughout the room. Then I noticed it.
In the middle of the room, sat an antique bathtub. It was filled with bubbles, towering high above the edge, with rose petals sprinkled on top.
Taking off my clothes, Edward sat me in the water, and soon joined me. I kissed him as the colorful soap bulbs flew around us, as if we were in a fairy’s grotto. From beside the tub he pulled two champagne glasses and a dish of strawberries. I bit into one and tasted the sweetest strawberry I had ever tasted. The champagne burned sinfully on my tongue with it’s pleasure.
Edward did not eat or drink anything but still held his glass none the less. I never thought our Heaven on Earth, our bliss, could be topped, but Edward, my angel, had done it.
