    CHAPTER 26:

    THE ENDING OR THE BEGINNING?

    “Unchain her,” Commanded Aro.

Jane and Alec raced over and unlocked the chains around my hands. I stood up, ready for whatever may come.

They went and stood in the corner while Aro continued to look at me with his eerie gaze.

“Would you like your senses to go first?” He asked, almost politely.

“No thank you,” I said casually.

I stared at the floor, the fear swelling within me, while I tried desperately to make it stop. Aro slowly approached from behind me.

His hand gently slid from the back of my leg, to my waist, wrapping his arm around it tightly. I could feel his lips just above my neck, the ice chilling every inch of my body.

“It’s a shame,” He said, “Edward has tried so hard to protect you…and now he won’t even be able to save you in the end.”

His teeth sunk into my skin. The pain that followed was excruciating. I screamed through gritted teeth, trying to hold back my pain. My veins burned as I began to shake. Aro stood back and watched me fall to the ground, writhing in pain.

I moaned and grunted as the pain took over my body. I could feel my eyes bugging out of my head, my mouth shaking and quivering ever direction. I rolled back and forth on my back, my head twisting and contorting in every way that it could.

Then I heard the noises as my eyes rolled back into my head. There was a crash. Something had happened. My head twitched over. There was Edward. My eyes lit up. He was on top of Aro, bashing his head in.

“E-E-E-E-D-D-D-W-AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRD!” I choked through the pain.

I could faintly see him glass, the pain in his eyes. Possibly worse than what I was going through. I could see Jasper and Emmet, fighting Alec and Jane. It worse than the battle with the werewolves.

The pain would not go away. I felt as if I was on fire. I twitched and writhed, as if I was having a hundred seizures at once. My head continued to try to bend the opposite way of where the bite was. I could feel the blood trickling down my throat.
