Once again the food was delicious, my taste buds where exploding.

I kept my distance from Spencer.

I even got my own food and had Arthur scratching his head.

“Now I know I just had three cheeseburgers already made.”

‘I walked quickly to the backyard, hoped into my new favorite tree, unrolled the brown bag of food and began to chow down.

My mind was so wrapped up on how good it was to eat good food that I didn’t here Spencer and Paula arguing.

I trained my ears to listen in as they came outside, voices hushed.

Of course she had to be talking about Aiden again, why she hadn’t seen him, where could he be. She looked around the yard; I suppose trying to locate me.’

“Spencer I’m worried about him, there was a brawl beside that old house… people were saying that Aiden was jumped there by some weirdo’s.”

‘I couldn’t help but laugh to myself, which caused me to reveal my hiding spot. Spencer gazed up into the trees and found my laughing eyes.’

She wasn’t so thrilled though…

“Spencer you have to be careful now days…I just hope he comes home soon.”

“Yeah, I’m worried too.”

‘Oh here we go…so now she’s worried about him…then again… Spence does have another side to her…

This all makes perfect sense now.’

“Honey, are you sure you didn’t see me put three burgers down!”

“No Arthur! Just don’t worry about it Aiden’s not coming anyway.”

“Okay!”

‘I watched Paula shake her head and walked back inside…the thoughts roll over in my head as I chew on the delicious meal.’

“What the hell Pain!” She seethed quietly while brushing up against the tree. I thought she was going to climb up by the way she was touching it.

I was silent for a whole minute, not knowing that that only pissed her off more. And when I say her I mean Joy.

Even though Joy hadn’t taken over, I felt her come thru Spencer as an emotion. This was the side that actually cared for Aiden once.

“You’re so fucking stupid.” She stepped back mouth hanging open in surprise. “I told you he’s okay…”

“Don’t call me stupid.”

“No, you’re not, but the other side of you is.”
