    Destined By Death

    8 years old

“Mom, where are you?,” I yelled searching frantically around the house. The guys were waiting for me in the yard.

“I’m in the kitchen Bella. What do you need?,” She replied while preparing sandwiches for lunch.

“The guys want me to go down to the creek with them! Can I go please? Angela‘s mom will be there,” I begged giving her the best puppy dog face I could muster up.

“Yes Bella you can go, but (of course there’s always a but) go get Edward, Alice, and Emmett, and tell them to come eat lunch first.”

“Alright fine. I will be right back,” I answered stomping off. I am ready to go to the creek.

“Don’t give me that attitude Isabella Marie Swan. You need to eat,” She snapped plating the sandwiches.

    “Sorry mom”

I stormed out the door as quickly as I could. I didn’t want to waste one minute eating, when I could be spending time at the creek with my best friends in the whole world.

“Guys my mom wants us to come eat first!,” I yelled out the door.

“Yes! I’m starving!,” I heard Emmett yell. Emmett was one year older than us. That didn’t make a difference to him, though, he loved hanging out with us.

“Okay, but we have to hurry, or everyone will be waiting for us,” Alice replied jumping off her bike and running inside. Alice was more of a girlie girl than anyone I knew. She was wearing a dress even though we were going to the creek. She also liked to play with Barbie dolls. I hated those things. I knew Edward didn’t like playing with them, so I never did. They were perfect for Alice, though. If she didn’t have them to dress up, then she would force me to play dress up with her. That would be horrible! She was absolutely obsessed with clothes. She always wanted me to play dress up. Usually Edward saved me from that, though, saying he needed me to climb a tree with him or something. I was definitely more tom-boyish than she was.

“Hey Bella!,” Edward sang running up and giving me a high five before sprinting inside the house. Edward was always my best friend out of the rest. We were very nearly always together. My mom usually had to make him leave. We had more things in common than the rest. We also were in the same classes from kindergarten through now (3rd ). Alice didn’t come here until a year ago. Her parents died in a car crash. Edward and Emmett’s family, The Cullens, took her in after the accident. They were the only other family she knew. I was scared about her moving in at first, but Edward assured me we would get along. Even though she was a lot more girlie than I was, we did instantly hit it off. We have been the gang every since.
