Duck Tape – (Chapter: Prologue and Chapter One)
I couldn’t give that to her.
They had lost one mother and the other was not too far behind if she didn’t pull herself together.
I felt as if someone had ripped my heart out and hide it away somewhere deep inside a coma ridden woman. There was a large hole in my chest and the only thing I felt was the warmth from the blood slowly leaking out.
She would never come back to me…my heart was forever lost.
“Come and be my ever lovin’ baby.”
My happiness had quickly disappeared.
Her voice was gone. The comfort and security was gone. I had lost it. I know that everything that was once lost has the possibility to be found, but that would be so much work. That would mean that I would have to find happiness, a happiness that didn’t include her.

Chapter One
~Duck Tape~
seven months later.
The music was pulsing through the club as the lights rapidly changed each and every second. The many different colors swirling around the room caused a familiar since of ease rush through my body. It could have been the two shots of tequila, also. At this moment, I didn’t care.
I had the entire night to myself.
The club was packed, a large overwhelmingly full crowd of people surrounded the stage, dominatingly girls. My two friends had surprised me with tickets to my favorite band, and there was absolutely no way that I would turn them down. It was also refreshing to get out, leave all my inhibitions with them. I knew they would keep it clean and safe until I returned.
I made my way over to the bar, wanting to not loose this amazing feeling of freedom. I stepped up to the large, brown wooden counter and rested my elbows against it.
Looking around for the regular bartender, I was completely at a lost. Down at the end, someone was sweet talking a couple skanky looking girls.
“Umm…hello?” I said leaning farther on the bar, my voice raised a little.
