Epic Storm
I follow her slowly giving her time to mellow out. When I finally get up to her room I see she’s laying on her stomach … crying? My heart suddenly broke and I wanted to run but I kept my cool and walked up next to her. Her face was buried in a pillow and her hair fell to the sides covering her face, but I couldn’t help but think how beautiful she looked.
There was enough space on her bed so I sat and pushed aside some of her hair. She looked up at me with her eyes full of tears and mascara running down her face. I gave her a weak smile and mustered up a, “hey.”
She didn’t say anything back instead choosing to rest her head on my lap. She doesn’t say much, she’s hurting and the fact that she feels comfortable enough to let me try to make her feel better speaks volumes. She cries a little more, trying desperately to get words out and explain herself. I try to relax her, “Shhh its okay… it’s okay.” She tries to speak a couple more times before finally falling asleep from crying.
I look at her sleeping on my lap and know instantly I have never felt like this before. There was nowhere in the world I’d rather be and that scared me. Here is a girl I know nothing about and yet I feel like I can read through the deepest part of her soul. I don’t think about it too much though as the sound of her breathing finally coxes me to a peaceful sleep next to her. My arms are wrapped around her, protecting her with everything I have.
Two weeks ago, Ashley moved in next door, and in two short weeks I think I found the girl that can change my life forever …
Present:
I felt a single tear fall down my cheek. That was the day that I fell in love with Ashley Davies. The day our roller coaster love affair began for me. The break-ups, the drugs, the alcohol, the fame the stardom… It was that day that would end up here. The clouds have started to gather over LA and I saw the first drop of rain fall on the window pane. What started off as a cool sunny day has turned into the beginning of an epic storm.
