    Spencer’s still acting strange. Well, strange to Ashley’s standards, at least. And Easy’s trying to make a move on the firey brunette. WWIII, anyone?

    “Harsh.”

    “Not really, considering the things she’s been through.”

    Easy’s interest was peaked, “Those things being?”

    The girl mentally slapped herself. She’d said maybe a little too much. “Those things being confidential.” She stared at Easy with a face that was clearly daring him to ask more.

    Needless to say, he didn’t dare.

    He walked back to the counter they were leaning on before, and swiped up the Cheerios box. “Well, it’s nothing to worry about since I’ve dealt with this before.” He munched on the cereal before continuing. “She’ll do that for a few more minutes, come inside, stare everyone down, eat some Cheerios, and stay solitary until she feels better. Then she’ll back to her humble self.”

    “…Right.” She wasn’t convinced. “Okay, whatever. But anyway, where are the parentals and loser-boys?”

    Without missing a beat, he replied, “Parentals are probably somewhere brunching while discussing their ‘brilliant kids’, loser-boy-number-one is off hounding my PS2, and loser-boy-number-two is probably in our ‘library’ hounding my mom’s books.”

    Ashley blinked at the quickness of his answer. If anyone knew what was up around this place, it was Easy.

    “Sounds fit,” she replied.

    They were both startled by the sound of a door slamming. A few seconds later, Spencer stalked into the kitchen and made a beeline straight for the pantry.

    Ashley and Easy stared at her from a distance and listened as she mumbled incoherently to herself.

    The brunette took notice of Spencer’s ruffled appearance. She was a mess of dirt from head to toe, and Ashley was finding this extremely sexy.

    Okay, now is not the time to think like that. And what’s up with these people and their short-sleeved t-shirts?! Do they not feel how freaking cold it is?!

    “Where are the fucking Cheerios!” the blonde yelled out of frustration before turning to stare at her two onlookers expectantly.

    Ashley’s eyes widened, and she pointed to Easy, who had the box in his possession. She was thrown off by Spencer’s usage of “fuck”. She didn’t say it very often. Only when she was exasperated and careless.

    Spencer walked up to the much taller boy and snatched the box from his grasp. “Don’t touch my Cheerios,” she warned quietly before walking out of the room.

    Ashley and Easy exchanged quick glances before she said, “You know…I find it very ironic that she’s eating Cheerios and acting like that.”

    15. What the hell is wrong with Spencer? Riding barrel horses like a mad woman, kicking barrel’s, making Ashley close her eyes while getting dressed, and that nasty disposition…whew! I somehow feel like it has to do with the man that just walked in the bedroom.
