Ashley:  I live with Kyla and Christine.

Paula: Oh Christine is a wonderful woman, she is one of my closest friends.

Glen: Father did you know that Spencer wants to pursue a career in art.

Arthur(dropping his fork): Is that true Spencer?

Spencer: I said I was thinking about it but I haven’t made a decision.

Arthur: Well you should stop thinking about it because that is never going to happen. Glen is going to be a doctor like your mother and I need someone to take over my place in the firm.

Spencer: That is a big responsability and I don’t think I can take your place.

Arthur: What are you talking about you are a Carlin you can do anything you want.

Spencer: But I don’t want to be a lawyer.

Arthur(furious): Spencer Carlin you are going to be a lawyer and you are going to take my place in the firm and this is the end of this discussion.

Spencer(looking down): Yes father.

Arthur: Well Paula this was a nice dinner but I have some work to do so I’ll be seeing you later. And Glen you should call me next week to play some golf.

Glen: Sure dad.

Arthur: Kyla, Aiden and Ashley thanks for having dinner with us.

Aiden: No, thank you for having us over Mr. Carlin.

Arthur: Spencer I guess I’ll see you at the next dinner, and next week I’m going to send you a letter telling you what university you are going to be attending is that okay with you?

Spencer: Yes, Goodbye father.

Glen: Well I have to go too, I need to call my girlfriend.

Paula: Goodnight Glen.

Glen: Night mom, Spencer I’ll see you later.

Spencer: Bye Glen and thanks for everything.

Kyla: Where are we going?

Ashley: Spencer maybe we should go home.

Ashley’s POV

Tonight was horrible for Spencer when we got here we went to bed and she cried herself asleep. The worst thing is that I can’t say that Spencer’s mom is a heartless bitch because what I’m doing to Spencer is worst, I would like to say that I don’t want to do it but I already did it. I have to call her I did the job and I want to go home.
