“Where are you going?” Kyla asked standing up also.

“I’m ready to go, take me home.” She said starting to march of to the car park.

“No we need to finish talking!” The brunette called after her. “Yes I have slept with girls, when I use to drink and sleep around…”

“I’m so glad we are having this talk I feel so much better.”

“I use to wake up sometimes and a girl would be next to me. But you are the only girl I have ever wanted to go to sleep with at night and not creep out the next morning.”

“Now I feel special.” Spencer felt her fantasy crashing down around her, it felt like she had been living in a daydream since the previous night and now she was brought back to reality. “Maybe this was all a mistake, I clearly don’t know you as well as I thought I did.” Kyla quickly walked over to the girl and held her hands.

“No please don’t say that, you know me Spencer, you know better than anyone ever has.”

“Or do I, because it doesn’t seem that way right now.”

“I’m a different person now than when I was in Baltimore.”

“What if the old Kyla comes back and wants to party?” Spencer felt completely lost and for a moment thought she was looking at a stranger.

“I wasn’t happy being that girl who had to drink and sleep around just to feel something, when I came here I realised I could start again.” Her eyes were trickling with tears, the honesty flowing at the thought of losing Spencer so early. “And then getting to know you over this summer, I realised I didn’t have to be this wild child, you liked me for me.”

“Which you was I getting to know?” Spencer questioned.

“The real me the part I always wanted to hide because I thought no one would care to look twice.” Spencer watched the girl with tears rolling down her cheek carefully and felt her hard wall start to crumble. “With Aiden I forced a connection that I wanted to find, with you it was just so natural. I’m sorry this all had to come out tonight. I don’t want to lie to you Spencer. So if you want to walk away now…I will understand.” She tried to hold back a low sob just it escaped and instantly Spencer went to the girl and wrapped her tender arms around her.

“Shhh, I’m not going anywhere, I guess it was just a lot to take in. Is there anything else, that you want to tell me?”

“Nothing.” Kyla responded stepping back so that Spencer could look in her tear glazed eyes. “I promise.”

“Good, then no more secret’s and we will be honest with each other.” She set down the term of their relationship as she wiped tears from Kyla’s cheeks, who nodded. “Okay.” Spencer took Kyla’s hand and led her back to the tree and pulled her down to the ground with her, the blonde put her arm around Kyla and drew her close as the shorter girl placed her head on Spencer’s shoulder. They sat in silence as they allowed the nights discussion to wash over them, hoping that everything else would be smooth sailing.

Ashley was across town laying on her bed that was scattered with picture’s of Spencer, she had raided her memory box. After their encounter today she had felt a spark between them as if they had been flirting.
