There was just so much to think about and to discover. Having her work directly for me gave me the opportunity to have eyes and ears in the office. That way, if she needed to talk to me about something it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for her to be in my office for a meeting. I needed all of the leverage that I could get if I was going to get to the bottom of what James was up to.

All of the sudden I also realized that there was an added bonus to that. Bella would be available for me whenever I needed her. Damn James for making me work this hard to uncover what he was doing. But bless him for bringing me that much closer to Bella.

“Ah, OK. Does that mean that you want me to start working five days a week?”

“If it is alright with you, I would like you working in the office three days a week, and I will set you up for at home work the other two days. You won’t really need to work unless something urgent comes up and I need you. Of course you will still be paid for all five days of work.” Sipping my coffee, I couldn’t help but think about the added bonus of having Bella as my assistant. A small smile pulled at the corners of my mouth.

“Why would you pay me for all five days if I don’t work them? That is silly Jasper considering all you do for me already. I will be available both of those days for you. It isn’t like I go anywhere during the week anyway.”

“No Bella, you will accept the full pay. I will not argue with you over it. Besides, maybe we could use that to our benefit from time to time.” Smiling seductively at her, I winked. And she got my meaning.

Blushing again, “Whatever you think is best Jasper” was the only response I got from her.

Considering the news I just heard, this was an amazing morning. Waking up to have Bella nestled in my arms was indescribable. She was the first woman that I woke up next to in the morning without my first thought being to flee. Taking her to breakfast felt natural. Like we had been doing it for a very long time. Knowing that we had nowhere else to be, I knew we had to talk. After finishing my breakfast, I waited until she said she was done. Lifting up my empty cup of coffee to the waitress, I signaled to her that we both needed refills. Well, it was time to get it all out on the table.
