    “lavender…” Spencer said getting Ashley to look at her again “my hair smelled like lavender, from my conditioner…”

    “lavender…oh…” Ashley said smiling then she turned to leave and Spencer smiled to herself

     

    “someone had a moment…” Aiden said walked from out of the kitchen

    “is there a time where you don’t spy?”

    “nope…” he said making Spencer laugh “but uh…you know about her wife?”

    “yeah what about her?” Spencer said

    “you know she cheated on Ashley first…when they were back in New York…I guess Ashley walked in on Megan, her wife…and her best friend…in bed together…”

    “her best friend being?”

    “Chad…”

    “Chad like…guy Chad?” Spencer asked curious

    “yes Spencer…like guy Chad…” Aiden said

    “um…how do you know this?” Spencer asked

    “I’ve got connections…” Aiden said walking away with his chips in hand then Spencer ran up stairs into Lauren’s room

    “woah are you ok?” Lauren asked looking up from her desk seeing Spencer in a frenzy

    “did you know?”

    “know what?” Lauren asked

    “about Ashley and Megan…did you know the Megan cheated on Ashley?”

    “uh no…”

    “don’t lie to me…” Spencer demanded

    “ok well…maybe I heard something about it from Aiden at the hospital…but other than that no…I didn’t know if it were true or not…” Lauren tried to explain

    “but you didn’t even think to tell me?”

    “because I didn’t want you to…”

    “what be heart broken?! Like I am now?” Spencer said beginning to get angry

    “Spencer I’m sorry…” Lauren said

    “sometimes sorry isn’t good enough…” Spencer said

    “yeah and I guess sometimes it’s easier to see what we want then to look for the truth…” lauren yelled after Spencer as Spencer ran out the front door and drove to Ashley’s

     

    When Spencer found herself standing in front of Ashley’s door she was frantically knocking until the door opened

    “Spencer…it’s 3 in the morning…” Ashley told her

    “yeah I know…I was watching my clock the past hour…”

    “um…ok?” Ashley said attempting to wake up but the time of night wouldn’t let her

    “why didn’t you tell me…” Spencer said then Ashley took a second to think and figured out what it was Spencer was talking about
