Honey and the Moon – (Chapter: Chapter Six: We’ll Try Breaking The Ice Again.)

    Chapter Six

Instead of answering my question, Spencer smashed her lips into mine. We kissed with more passion and need that I have ever experienced in my 18 years on earth. Eventually, we stopped and broke apart with smiles on our faces from ear to ear. At that moment, I was prepared to spend the rest of my life with her. Even if she told her parents she was in love with me and they didn’t except it, we would figure something out. We only had one year of high school left, and I felt if we could get through that ten months, we would be home free with nothing to worry about.

“Well I better let Bailey finish the rest of her story…” Spencer said.

“You know, it’s really not that funny…” I lied.

I stand up, grab her hand and pull her into the house. We both sit down on the couch, my arm over her shoulders.

“I guess you two lovebirds worked everything out?” She says, not taking her eyes off the TV screen.

“You could say that.” I said, looking over at Spencer and giving her a big smile. She gave me a little kiss on the lips.

“Well thank god. That means tonight we can go out and party!” Bailey said with a squeal. I rolled my eyes. Although, after I thought about it, it sounded like a great idea. I always have fun with Spencer when we get liquored up, and maybe Bailey would find a girl to hang out with for the summer.

“Maybe you’re right Bailey. I think a little partying is just what everyone needs. What do you think Spencer?”

“I think that is exactly what I need.”

So we did just that. The three of us went to Grey’s, had a few drinks, danced our asses off, and had a great time. Bailey even met a cute girl with dreadlocks to drink with.

We were winding down, the four of us sitting around a round table, taking body shots, when the waitress came over with four more. She told us to drink up, and that the taxi she called for us will be here any minute. I glanced at my watch, and it was two in the morning.
