I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: I'm ready)

“Hi.” Ashley gives Madison a short wave before, turning her attention to me. “Can I talk to you? I mean real quick just…can I?” She finishes in a small, vulnerable voice.

I give her a nod before pulling her in, and closing the door behind her.

“Madison, do you think you could give us a second?” Madison keeps glancing back and forth between me and Ashley, awestruck.

“Maddy…” I pull her out of the trance she was in. I could’ve sworn she was drooling.

“Oh! Right yeah, no. Of course…um, bye. Nice to meet you Ashley.” She still hasn’t moved, she’s just smiling. I nod my head towards the door, hoping that might finally do.

“You too.” Ashley replies as I watch Madison make her way into her room, eyes still plastered on me and Ashley.

And finally she’s gone, leaving me with Ashley.

“Listen Spencer, I’m so sorry I jus—“

“How did you know where I lived?” The question only coming to mind now.

                    “Um…Aiden.” She replies confused.

“Oh.” I make my way to the couch, hoping she follows.

“Yeah. Anyway, listen…about before, I’m sorry I was being—“

“Ashley, you don’t have to be apologize.” I sigh sitting down.

“Yeah I do, okay? I mean, I didn’t really do anything to stop what was going on, I just kind of ruined it all.” She explains meeting me on the couch.

                    “Why?” I ask.

                    “Because I’m stupid.” She sighs.

“Yeah I know, but why?” I joke, getting a smile in return.

                    “I guess…I guess I was scared.”

“Ashley Davies, scared? I don’t believe it.” I sit back, crossing my arms.

“Well believe it. It’s just, I don’t know…around you, it’s different you know? I don’t know how to explain it, but it just is. I mean yeah, I’ve kissed other girls, yes I’ve had sex with other girls, but none of them meant anything to me. And you, I mean you? You mean everything Spencer. I was just—“

Yeah, there was no way I was going to stop that rant, so I do the only thing that might actually do the trick.
