I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: Stay like this)
“Ashley, you just are.”
“Spencer there’s no proof.”
She is high.
“You’re a year older than me.” I pronounce each word with more intensity.
“Auntie Spencer.”
Ah, almost forgot. She’s an aunt too.
“Auntie Ashy.”
“Only Shelly calls me that.” She scrunches her face, shaking her head in disgust.
“I think I’ll call you that for now on.” I tease.
“No that’s…that’s weird.” Auntie Ashy…yeah, actually she’s kind of right. I can’t call her my aunt..that’s just…ew.
“…Yeah, you’re right.”
“You should know this by now.” Yeah, she’s definitely never wrong…
It’s a joke, get it?
She was wrong about the age thing…
No? Okay… on we go.
“Yet, you’re so full of yourself.” I chuckle as I watch her grin get even bigger.
“That’s your favorite thing about me.”
But she does have a point there.
“You know me so well.”
Ah, there’s the damn waitress…took long enough.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Just pick a movie.” Ashley pushes as she brings our drinks into the living room.
“It’s so hard.” It is, especially when there’s like thousands of DVD’s here.
“Pick one or you know which one I’ll choose.” Oh god no.
“You wouldn’t.”
“Would if you don’t pick one already,” She’s behind me now, looking over my shoulder, watching me stare at the same DVD’s over and over.
“I’m trying, there’s just so much.” I sigh.
“Doesn’t that make it easier?” Sometimes, but not at this moment.
“No, not at all.” And her talking definitely isn’t helping my decision on picking a movie any quicker.
“I have so much to learn.” She whispers in my ear, as my eyes close on their own accord.
“…you do.” I let out in a breathy whisper.
“So…Pick one yet?” Now she’s gone. Why would she even do that in the first place…she knows how I get.
“…no.” Here it comes…wait for it, wait for it.
“Okay, well I got one already, so…”
Wonderful, a full night of Jason. Why do people enjoy watching some guy kill random people?
“I’m going to need pillows and a blanket.” I’m not even going to put up a fight, because I will definitely lose.
“Joking?”
“Dead serious.” I take a seat on her couch as I watch her walk into the spare bedroom.
Jason…I don’t even know which number she picked, but I hate them all. I don’t understand why she couldn’t just pick a nice, romantic movie.
Better yet…why couldn’t I even pick one?
“I hate this movie by the way.” I tell her as she comes back into the living room.
“I know, that’s why I chose it.” She sticks her tongue out at me before she throws the blanket and pillow my way.
“You’re so sweet.” I tell her sarcastically.
“Oh I know.” I can see her grin as she puts the DVD in the player.
I still don’t get it though.
“We’re alone…and the thing you want to do is watch a scary movie?” I ask disbelievingly.
“It’s a good cuddle up movie.” She tells me as she makes her way next to me on the couch.
“Oh, you mean the cuddling you don’t do?” I tease. She pulls my body into hers holding me in place where I always want to be.
“Yeah, that one,” She places a kiss onto my head, as I settle nuzzle myself into the crook of her neck.
“I love you.” I kiss her underneath her jaw, sighing contentedly.
“I love you too.” She squeezes me tighter, and never let’s go.
I really could stay like this forever.
