I Write Sins Not Tragedies – (Chapter: First Date)

“Ohh! Dad, what’s that?” He looks up at me and grins.

“Spaghetti.” I go take a fork out of the drawer and start to twirl some. I open my mouth to take a bite when a familiar voice rings through the kitchen.

“Spencer Carlin, don’t you dare eat that!” I turn around to glare at Ashley, but when I see her, I just end up dropping the fork…with the spaghetti on it of course. Ashley looks amused as I blatantly check her out. She’s wearing a red dress with sheer black material over the red material causing it to look darker. The right side of the hem falls below her knee and then slants upwards so it’s above her left knee. She’s wearing black heels and her hair is up in a beautiful bun. I think I’m drooling. She’s also letting her eyes roam my body, and I’m so tempted to take her upstairs and have my way with her.

“Spencer, maybe you should get going,” my dad says taking me away from my thought. Dad….oh right! We’re still in the kitchen. I go to pick up my fork, but I notice it’s now gone and the floor has been cleaned. I look up at my dad and we exchanges smiles. “Have fun,” he tells me while placing a kiss on top of my head. I walk over to Ashley while still looking rather enamored. She’s grinning at me while holding her arm out for me to take. We link arms and head towards the door.

“How’d you get in?” I ask truly curious as to how I missed her entrance.

“Glen let me in.” I look over into the living room, and I see him watching us. He gives me a small nod of approval, and I feel so much better. We make our way outside, and she opens the door for me then goes to her side and gets in. She starts her car, turns on her iPod, and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” starts to play and I gasp.

“This is my favorite song!” I exclaim happily.

“I was thinking about changing the lyrics,” she tells me with a smile. I tilt my head to the side and look at her with curiosity. “Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world, she took the midnight train going anywhere. Just a city girl, born and raised in Southern Cali, she took the midnight train going anywhere!” she started to sing rearranging the lyrics. I couldn’t help but laugh. We then both started belting out the lyrics as we made our way to wherever she had planned for us to go.
