Arthur and Paula had already gotten their food, so the younger Carlins got up and got into the extending line. When they had almost reached the front of the line Spencer spotted a familiar brunette walking by.

   "Hey Kyla!" said the blonde smiling.

   "Oh hey Spencer, how’s it going?"

   "Alright, you?"

   "I’m good,"

   "Well good morning gorgeous," interjected Glen, grinning at Kyla.

   "Uh…hey Glen," responded Kyla, not really sure what to say.

   "Glen, just let the girls talk," instructed Clay

   "Alright fine," said Glen holding up his hands, "I’ll catch ya later Kyla," he added, winking at her as he turned away.

   "Anyways.." said Kyla laughing.

   "Yeah sorry about that…," apologized Spencer. "Oh..uh where’s Ashley?" she added, trying to sound non-chalant.

Kyla smiled at her for a moment, then replied,"She’s still sleeping,"

   "Really?" giggled Spencer.

   "Yeah..I tried to wake her up but she just mumbled some cuss words at me and put the pillow over her head," explained Kyla.

   "Oh, I see"

   "Yeah. So are you going to the shore today?"

   "Yeah, me and my family are going to the town or whatever to check it out,"

   "Oh cool, yea if Ashley ever wakes up I think we’re gonna go to the beach or something."

   "Sweet! I don’t know if I’ll get to go down there, my mom gets carried awat sometimes when it comes to shopping in new places, plus she’s not a huge fan of the beach,"

   "Well if you can get away for a while, you should come down and hang out with us,"

   "Yeah, that would be really fun, I’ll see what I can do.  Where do you think you guys will be?"

   "Uh…I really don’t know.  And our cells don’t get service here.."

The girls thought for a few moments about how they could meet up as Spencer was just about up to the food.
