Spencer pulled her into a tight hug. “I know. It’s just hard thinking about some high society boy trying put to his hands all over you.”

“Trust me Spence, the only thing I’m thinking about on nights like tonight is how long it will be until I get to be with you again.” They held onto each other until Ashley whispered into her ear. “I have to go baby.”

“I know. I love you.”

“I love you too, so much. Goodnight night.” With one last long kiss Ashley left Spencer’s office and headed out.

This was torture. She wished with every part of her being that she had the courage to call her Father and tell him that she was going home with her lover and not interested in another one of his great for business setups. She wanted to have everything with Spencer; a home, a family, she wanted it all. But she had always been her Daddy’s obedient little media tactic. He discovered that at a young age she had the uncanny ability to charm the socks off of anyone, especially potential big money clients and the press. So she had to act the part that he had trained her to play. She was the proper, well respected heir to a dynasty.

Only she didn’t feel like that was true. Not for real at least. She liked her work but enjoyed being more hands on then eventually taking her Fathers job would allow her to be. She’d rather spend her evenings in the back of a smelly old pub with friends then in a five star restaurant were patrons never seemed to laugh. And she was madly in love with a woman who completed her and not the son of some business tycoon.

Ashley Davies was an act. But the girl that her team did shots with, the girl Spencer whispered ‘I love you’ to, that was the real her.

When Ashley finally arrived at the restaurant she silently cursed knowing that she would get hell for being late. When she entered the host recognized her immediately and began to lead her to her table. A cold shiver ran up her spine when she saw that her father was sitting at the table alone and waiting for her. It had been years since the two of them had sat down and had a meal with just the two of them and no agenda, so the sight immediately unnerved her.

Ashley smiled and sat at the small private table, inner nerves going more into overdrive with each passing moment that her Father merely looked at her contemplating, saying nothing.

Finally he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small envelope and slid it across the table to Ashley. She picked it up apprehensible and opened it. Inside were half a dozen photos, all of her and Spencer in some form of intimate contact.

Stunned her eyes bolted up to meet her Fathers, pleading with him to understand.

“This is over Ashley, starting right now”
