    I suck at summaries

     

    Staring up at Ashley standing in front of her closed office door, Spencer couldn’t decide if she wanted to scream and hit her or beg her to tell her what she had done wrong.


    “What do you want Ashley?”


    She wanted Ashley out of her office right now. She couldn’t handle this. Why was Ashley doing this to her? Could she not see what this was doing to her, or did she just not care?


    “I wanted to see how you were.” Ashley said moving closer to her.


    “Why?” she asked with venom in her voice, causing the brunette to take a step back.


    “Because I care Spencer.”


    “I think that’s the most insulting thing anyone’s ever said to me.” This couldn’t be happening. Ashley had shattered her to her very core and now was talking to her like they were still the best of friends. Did she not understand that she had changed everything?


    “Please Spence, you’re my friend. You’re the best friend I’ve ever had.”


    Ashley’s words made her so angry she thought she might explode.

     

    Spencer tried to be as strong in her next words as she could, so as not to leave any doubt in Ashley’s mind where they stood.

    “No, I’m just a girl who works for you. That’s it. Now if there’s nothing else Ms. Davies I’d really like to finish making up the wok I’ve missed.”


    “Spence, please.” Her voice sounded so desperate and shattered, that a small part of Spencer actually wanted just to comfort her.


    ‘Because you still love her and she’s hurting’ she tried to shake both the erg to comfort her and the nagging voice from her head.


    Ashley was biting her lower lip clearly trying not to break down into tears. Spencer couldn’t stop herself. She stood up and was about to make her way around the desk to the brunette when there was a sudden knock on the door, bringing her back to her senses.

    ‘Thank god. I might just kiss whoever’s behind that door’


    “Come in.” She said far too loud and to Ashley’s obvious disappointment. Aiden popped his head in and started to say that he was just checking in on her again when he noticed Ashley standing in front of Spencer’s desk.
